PLEASE visit the link below with Tom and Red's WEBLOG for summaries of the information gathered here.

www.scaredmonkeys.com

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While we're a reasonable bunch, we do have some expectations for the etiquette of our posters and want you to know what will keep you in the Monkey cage, or excommunicate you to the wild jungles of the Internet to swing on a few vines to relax yourself. Needless to say, we'd like to cage you here rather than set you "free." Follow the guidelines below (there's only 4 - humor us) and you'll spend many a happy day picking flies off each other, chattering, and bouncing off the walls.

Monkeys will avoid feeding the trolls. True trolls are a rare breed; and the owners, admins and moderators know what and who they are and we have super-dooper bug spray to get rid of them. 'Nuff said.

Monkeys will use proper social etiquette in expressing their opinions. There are always more than 1 side and opinion to every story; some posts you will like and agree with, and others you won't. While lively debate is appreciated, moderators and forum admins reserve the right to admonish and/or eject, without notice, those parties who debate using insults, engage in name-calling, or otherwise imflammatory posts. Act like you're at a public place using the manners your mother taught you and you'll be just fine. If you don't have manners, don't bother posting as it just wastes our time mashing the "banned" button. We've got other things to do.

Monkeys recognize that the forum threads and some functionality may be temporarily unavailable at times. During high peak periods, forum operators may disable some features such as avatars, sig lines and the like. We'll restore it when the hooplah dies down. Likewise, we reserve the right to edit, delete or move posts or threads in any manner that we choose. Hey, when it's your house, you can move the furniture.....

If you have any input, give it to us. Our people may call your people, and we may change, or we may not. We're always happy to hear from you and glad to have you in our crowd!

I thought she said she couldn't sleep until they got home...but did fall asleep about 1:30 and when she awoke at about #AM she checked and their doors were locked so she KNEW they were home?? Didn't say she saw them. Gosh I hope I didn't dream that.  Do your kids lock their doors? [/quote]

since the one boy had a habit of going on the internet right after coming home, I am sure their computers can or cannot corroborate the mother's story - esp since he claims he got an email message from Joran......or so it is reported

presumably the doors weren't locked when she went to bed, so unless two intruders were in their room, good assumption, and my mother was the same way, she could never fully get to sleep until she heard us all come home, not easy with 4 kids only a year apart in age.......

when I was a teenager I always locked the door, I had annoying younger brothers and sister, and my mother would drive me nuts sometime....

just caught up and about to have to work but ...

I find the Riehl world bit really off - he presents this hyper statement and then frames it in words about how we shouldn't believe stuff like this until proven ... pfft!

question - I saw last night that there was a mention that the bartender at CnCs said he served Natalee 4-5 vodka drinks and her friends said they got there around 11 - that's a lot for a small woman, esp if she'd been in the sun all day, likely drinking at the concert, casino, etc and may not have been very used to drinking. Does anyone have a link or source for the bartender statement?

I read this also and that they were partying all day long, but evn if she died af alchol poisoning, it doesn't make sense to cover it up.
Even if this so called bartender served Natalee 4-5 vodka drinks, that doesn't mean she actually drank them. She may have set them down and taken her attention off the drink and was afraid to drink it, so she would get another one.....just a thought!

Or if she was going up to the bar to get the drinks, they may not have been all hers. Could have been she was standing up (maybe just finished dancing) and offered to get a friend who was sitting down a drink. I think everybody's done that.

Iquitos has made inflammatory comments about southerners before; however I don't really think he means them in a mean way. We've assured him he'd be treated with hospitality here and even invited him for a visit.

I'm hesitant to say that I've heard my father mention some brothers he used to know named Jughead and Jarhead; I don't think it has anything to do with liquor. In that case I think they may have gotten their nicknames from the shape of their heads. The bottom line--lots of times southerners have interesting nicknames. It adds to the local flavor so we might as well just embrace it!

Heck I figured their names, seriously, had to do with them having rather large heads.  Jar head, Jug head and that shortened to jar and jug.

I kind of figured that too, Another K.  Or, that they obtained those nicknames in college...perhaps one liked to drink from a mason jar, the other a jug.  I went to college in Arkansas, and knew lots of guys with nicknames due to their drinking habits!

Some people's sex lives begin with inanimate women, i.e. porn magazines.  For men especially, sexual thrill can be visually derived.  For the depraved a woman is objectified, no need for brains or animation.  This is one of the reasons that pornography is a menace to society.

If she was at CNC from 11 to 1, thats 3 hours of dancing and drinking, 4-5 drinks seems plasible for a teenager on her last night.  Heck with Beer Pong the kids are downing 4-5 beers in no time.

My son told me he ONLY drank a little, I asked how much...4-5 BEERS...I said that IS NOT a little,  his answer...'but mom it was over 2 hours'   and yes I want to shake them silly!  Teens don't get it....I know I didn't either.

jug or jar head are both slang names for military personnel.  is VERY common amongst those who have had courage to serve our country in a time of need.
