Question - and I apologize if this has already been discussed - BHT just said on Fox that there is no way that NH came back to her hotel room that night, but her passport, her purse (and presumably her ID) and cash were supposedly in the room - who goes to a bar without those things?

I suppose that she could have taken her ID and some cash, but it seems strange to assume that b/c those things were in her room, she never returned.  What if she did come back, drop those things off, and then went to hang out at the beach?

Not sure were I'm going with this theory, just trying to come up with possible scenarios...

Hmmmm..... Especially to go to a club without her I.D. and some cash seems odd. I occasionally go out without my purse, but, most young girls go everywhere with their purses.

Maybe she did go back to her room after leaving Joran, and it was there or after that when something could have happened? But, wouldn't that hotel camera have picked up a shot of her entering the hotel at some point?

wow! I have not even thought of that one. Hmmm...I too would see someone going out without a purse, but without cash and your ID now that is odd. It almost sounds like she had no intention of going back to her hotel room except to pick up her bags and head out for the airport the next morning. I mean I have read that her bags were all packed and her personal items (purse, cell, etc.) were on the bed when her mama and step-father got to her hotel room. Just something that I have just thought about...probably is something not uncommon since it was her "last night" before heading home. I remember when I graduated we were all about living it up right to the last minute.

I wonder if the cameras at the kasino showed Natalee with or without her purse?

It struck me as odd too the first time it was
mentioned that everything was packed.
It looks too set up. If she was getting ready to
go home, and be packed; wouldn't you still have
some things out for the morning?
Toothbrush etc?

While it is true that Natalie's passport, cellphone and purse were at the Holiday Inn in her room, I have heard from many sources (including, I believe Beth Holloway Twitty) that Natalee had her driving license with her in the bar and at least some cash.

Beth is adamant that Natalee did NOT return to the Holiday Inn after 1pm (after leaving C and C's).  She knows this for a fact because she (and/or her family) and the police interrogated all the Holiday Inn staff, kids on the trip and watched all the security video etc. from that night.

Yes Natalie had at least one room mate - it might have been two.  Her room mate packed her bag for her when she didnt turn up at the Holiday Inn, so I know she had at least one.  Also rumor has it that the same room mate was not surprised Natalee didnt turn up as she hadnt slept in her room on other nights (but this is something I read on blogs so should be treated as rumor only)

I'm tired too. Going to bed now.
If her roommate packed her stuff, then that
makes more sense. I was thinking it was just
all packed and ready to go WAY too early if
Natalee packed up herself.

All this could be possible.... IF.    IF Joran hadn't done so much lying.   He knows something. What he knows is not "good".  He's hiding it.

Unless Joran followed Natalee to her hotel, then watched her leave, etc...  possibly.  But highly doubtful.

Natalee's dispearance starts with Joran and ends with Joran.   When he tells, we'll know.

One of her friends (on TV?) said that they all (in general) just took cash and ID with them to the bar.

This stuck with me because I do this ALL the time when I shop (take car keys and credit card in a pocket) or go on a day excursion and I was very interested to hear that the habit of "travelling light" had filtered down to 18-year-olds also.  (Who wants to lug a bag that contains all kinds of things that I don't need for a short junket?)

So she left MOST of her cash and her passport in her room, but could have taken ENOUGH cash and a driver's license to the bar.

one of her roommates was interviewed and so were several of her other friends.  They all said that she had packed her bags before going out that night and none of them had said they were not worried when she did not show up the next morning.  They were all worried because this was totally out of character for Natalee.  Go and look at previous posts in breaking news, and some of Dash's post.  You can also go find the interview transcripts from Greta Van Sustern and other news programs from friends and family to back this up.  All they said she haad was money and her drivers license.

Are U.S. cell phones affordable to use in Aruba, I went to Cancun last year, we were warned not to use our phones unless we wanted pay big bucks.

Shocked
IMO: One thing I believe is being OVERLOOKED is: her motel room was on the 1st floor and had a DOOR that opened onto the BEACH.  If this is true, then N would not have had to go thru the Lobby to get to her room...So I wouldn't bet my life on the camera's..also,.I heard 1 camera was broken..Hope I heard it correct...IMO

I was just mulling this one over a bit...
I pretty sure I heard that
the cell phones from the us
don't work in aruba
so this would explain why it was just sitting in the room
damn, now I'm thinkin all cell phones even if they're not
registered to provider are 911 enabled..
aren't they.?

Do any of you watch Fox News ?  Last night Greta and Beth went into the room where Natalee was staying with camera and looked at her bags (packed), purse, and all.  The room has remained unoccupied since the incident.  Everything was there except for driver’s license.  Natalee had 3 roommates.  There were 4 girls saying in the room.

The emergency number for the Netherlands is 112. Aruba is 911. Cell phone should work, it might cost you a arm and leg to use it.
