Question about Natalee's hotel room.  I think I remember over the weekend or sometime somebody on SM (maybe a friend of Nat's who went on the trip, I don't know) state, with certainty, that there was no entrance to Natalee's hotel room from the beach.  However, on Greta's show last night it was obvious there was an entrance from the room to the beach directly, am I correct?

You are correct.  At least, that's what it looked like. Shocked

well here is a scenario, and the school chums have been very quiet

say ex boyfriend is part of the crowd at the Holiday Inn, it is claimed that Natalee approached Joran at the Holiday Inn casino, she openly flirts with Joran in order to piss off the ex, he is steaming

now this is something interesting - Mrs. Van Der Sloot is saying that Natalie was the one who asked Joran if he was going to C & Cs and he didn't want to go at first

now the two of Natalie's roomates who spoke on Greta's On the Record said that Joran had told them Sunday night was boring in Aruba, he acted like he wasn't going out to C & C and that they were in fact surprised he had shown up there...

interesting, two of Natalee's friends can corroborate part of Joran's story

but then again if Joran supposedly snuck out of the house to get to C &
C's, something changed his mind, hmmmm

now exboyfriend moves with the crowd and goes to C & C's himself, maybe he rented a car himself even - I mean is it not odd that he would go to Aruba the same time Natalee is, I think if you'd just broken up you'd be looking for islands at the opposite of the Caribbean, unless.......

he says Nat getting looped leaving with Joran, maybe he witnessed Joran in predator mode before, maybe he got talking to some of the locals who had some not very nice things to say, maybe he is just getting more and more jealous......

they leave, he follows, something happens at the Marriott Beach,

Yes,  a poster who was on the trip had a different recollection. However, it is unlikely that the kids did much but shower and change in their rooms, and they were only there for a few days.

I saw a diver interviewed yestersay...can't remember who interviewed him...but he was asked what he did back in the states and I missed the answer...did nyone hear it...he also mentioned he had a 2yo blond hair, blue eyed daugher at home...he was asked how long he would be there...he said he was leaving today...he had to wait 24 hours to fly...but he was going to be helping on the ground search.

Has anyone heard anything else about the 'hit' the dogs had? And has teh quarry been cleared. I know TXES doesn't give out much information.....but I thought something might have been said about it...I read that the cadaver dogs seldom EVER  miss a hit.  And the change in demeanor of the Twitty's????...just wondering out loud  Thanks, Sunny

Yes, you are correct. Dash stated that Natalee's room was only accessible through the lobby of the hotel.

Definitely I found that very surprising, unless there is a perimeter fence it seems to me you could easily access your room without going through the front and I seem to recall you could walk from hotel to hotel on that beach quite easily

so how can everyone be so absolutely sure Natalee never returned to the room that night, if all the roomates were out partying to the crack of dawn themselves

My theorie is, That I think that joran did what he said and leaves NATALEE on the beach, b/c she wanted him to left her there. After he went away something happend.

Hannie....why do you think she would want him to leave her alone on the beach at 2AM?  I just can't come up with a reasonable (in my mind that is) why, unless something happened between them, and then it would have to be something pretty serious

I know that Natalee had changed rooms and roommates at least 1x. That could be the confusion about the sliding glass door.

I am not sure if all the comments of MBers are to be taken with unquestionable faith.  Keep in mind as most young teens are on their own you going to have wild parties, excessive drinking, drug use and partying.  This is normal but aired on national tv, prudish audience would condemn such behaviour. The story of Nat possible ex Bf if interesting.  I had previously showed interest in knowing what the fighting was all about the one in CnC and maybe on in the Casino.  I can only think is was for a woman's attention.   That is what usually guys fight over, (money too I guess), so I would keep closely any articles on this McVea story.  I think that may offer some interesting insights.

I agree. I mean, what if she just stopped in for a quick bathroom break and was nabbed on her way back out?

sorry you remember if your room is right on the beach, esp since the Holiday Inn is a highrise hotel so to get a room right on the beach is a major coup........it's a major coup anywhere in the Caribbean

it is a bonus and a minus, esp if you are female

we stayed in the Tamarind and what is great about that hotel is that it is all two story villa style and every single unit is on the beach and we got an upper unit on the beach, which was preferable for us, since we preferred to hang out at the pool and the beach by the pool, some people like sitting in on the patio attached to their lower unit..........

Yeah, but all the hotels have security guards  on their grounds all night long. Plus there were tourists outside. There's no way she would be able to walk from the marriot to the HI ,enter a room, and not be seen.

Also, I bet they were not on ground level rooms. They are usually more expensive because you can just walk right out on the beach.

You are correct. There is a poster here with the moniker, "Dash" (written out by her as:  --- ) and she is from MB and was on the trip to Aruba. She knows Natalee because NH tutored her in calculus.

Dash EMPHATICALLY stated here on this board that there was NO way to get to the beach from Natalee's hotel room.

However, Greta van Susteran showed the sliding door which opened to the beach.

Therefore, the information that "Dash" emphatically stated again and again to be the truth was sadly INACCURATE, at best.

New theory:
PVDS picks up J at 11:00, takes him home.  Supposedly both go to sleep.  P hears J sneaking out, decides to follow him.  P comes up to J and N on beach, mad that he's snuck out and loses his temper.  J also loses his temper.  Something bad happened.
