Did anyone actually go into the lighthouse during the search?  I keep coming back to the fact that I think there is a shred of truth in the Kalpoe brothers statement (they left her on the beach with Joran) and Joran's statement that he left her alone on the beach, maybe he did--in the lighthouse.  Kind of a hiding the body in plain sight thing.  If he did something to her on the beach and then needed to dispose of a body, wouldn't there have been drag marks in the sand?

What you are forgetting is that the authorities did not even look for Natalee or check the story the boys gave until days later so any signs of whatever might have happened were long since destroyed by nature or on purpose by these boys.
I am convinced that the Dad helped them.
