Well, I've learned that Red is NOT subtle. I'm getting a sledgehammer out this year!

I was looking at Mikimoto pearl pics to post for Red, and John noticed my browsing. He thought I was wishful thinking and bought me a ring for Christmas! I was totally shocked!

That is so cute!  John sounds like a keeper!!!   I have to admit that Red really does well ... so even though y'all need to remind him about the Mikimotos... don't feel bad for me Laughing

Mrs Red- I think Klaas updated the MP. I don't want you thinking I ignored your post.

<<snipped>>>
Maybe towards Christmastime Klaas or CBB should add some pearls to hang on the pitch fork as a hint to the Red.

You know, Mrs. Red is totally responsible for me receiving a Mikimoto pearl ring for Christmas, so I DO owe her!

WOW... how'd I do that?  You can email me if you want to!  I have to visit your neck of the woods between now and October... we should try and have lunch!

Sounds good! I'll show you my ring!  Laughing  Heck, take it home with you and show it to Red..........with tears at the thought of mailing it back!  Laughing
Is that "sledgehammer" enough?

That was one of the pics that I had lingered on, I thought it was beautiful and pondered nudging Red with it, but decided not to because I had heard you mention a "strand".

Well, not THAT picture, but the picture of that ring that was featured on their website. Their picture was much better quality!

Nite PV....

Tibro... have fun see you later!

Lexie, I will guess that kids that young haven't changed too much since we were kids, but I am very interested to find out what you have to say on the subject!!  Looking forward to hearing what you report back..

Maybe I will go ahead with a thread in the lounge on some of my observations from the last 2 years volunteering....Drastic changes from when I taught 30 years ago, although in some ways, seems to have made a "full circle".  Certainly different from when my daughters (now 31) went through.

I'd like that Thread too. Having had  Chronic Fatigue, sincle 88, then PTSD around 93, I was a veggie for 3 mos in 97 then went into  cognitive, panic. anxiety, depression. chronic pain from Fribrmyalgia  on perm disability for almost 11 years.  Used to teach all grades, all subjects, and enforce Child Labor Laws and Safety, Played computer games over and over for first years, then did volunteering, then posting here. Posting here has help a lot. I feel close to the fact that maybe I can begin tutoring also sometimes this fall.

For me to say that has covered many tears, scared, depressed times and reactions to good and bad medicines.

One week I could write what I am writing now and the next week I couldn't. I couldn't even do a coversation, let along remember things. I guess at the time I should have checked it out ... well I did and they'd say they didn't know what was wrong... I think I overloaded my brain and it went on a long vacation..... I was teaching long hours each day/night in the Film Industry on a series, then working weekends at CompUSA, then taking courses at least 1 each quarter and sometimes weekends to train myself from 1984 to 1996 in  the Internet and Web Development. then convensions, conf. MultiMedia expert to 1993 I know they weren't going to hire old teachers on the set as much so was training myself for a new career for the age of about 56 to retirement.

It has taken ten years to get back to here and I am still not "me" yet, but the "ole" me is showing up more.

Used to joke..."oh, it'd be my luck my health gets better at retirement age and then no one would want me for I was older"... that is some what happening (ie: getting better) so here I am almost 67 on 9/11.

Am not only thinking of tutoring (small classes or one to one) for noise and  groups, crowds still bother me, but I saw CA State@Long Beach has a Certification in Cyber Crime... covers protection, ID theft, forensices software, Pornography, Internet Saftey for Adults and children (I'dl like that) and a tad of terrorism. I think it is the only on in the Nation where you don't have to go for years to get it.

Since Symantec will be so close in a year, I could get their wi-fi from home; or walk over there.... could work on contract as already have health insurance. Wonder if I'd still have to pay into Social Security.

Just dreaming... but you Monkeys have helped me leard to do that again and to pray again and laugh and make mistakes here. Laughing  Laughing

I know I am grossly O/T on this but maybe this will give some spark to one of our Monkeys who might be "older" like me, been in a slump and wondering what to do. Well, with this new Thread we will have many in our corner!!

O/T

Did anyone happen to catch a glimpse of Tammy Faye on Larry King? OMG! No matter what you think of her, it was tragic to see!

I didn't... what happened??

She's 65 pounds and dying. But she had those lashes and make up on. It was disturbing.

Oh, CBB that is sad.... but I guess the make up and lashes are just such a part of her that it would never occur to her not to have it all...

does she have cancer?

I heard it was cancer now in the lungs but started somewhere else... Maybe overies Scarey

This week I was thinking I would ask the Lord God to help me.. I need not to have insomnia; get up early before 11, but the most important things are energy and gumption to not be overwhelmed to do the things i need to do to survive

So, out of 5 nights  I have awakened 2 days around 8 or 9 no pain, and with some energy. One day the energy didn't last more than two hrs and then I had to take a nap. The other day it lasted all day to about 9.

So I am posting a request in the prayer section for more energy and gumption and forcus and completing things to live

do this make sense?
