Nutt... I think so... like I said last night...

since we only have one brain cell, angie shares cooties, red is the grand wizard, I can't read, and we have bad parents, ugly hair and Lord knows what other ailments, why should they want to come here?

Is it possible to have PM's again? that could effectively eliminate the arguments by some about posters stating on the lively to check emails.

Also, just lessons learned from the past, do not share your email or pertinent personal information except with those you know well and can trust. A lesson I learned the hard way even with some of the former mods.

I agree with Sharon.  Having some of the archive resurrected was a plus...

Will we have to reregister or need how-to training?

During the maintenance period, we'll be out of town, so I'm hopeful  all goes well, no glitches, bugs & I'll return to new SM, up and running...good luck Dugga & Red....& thanks.

I'm excited!  I love change and new things to play with.

and of course,   more smilies!  Laughing

Thanks Red and Dugga for your hard work!

I am looking forward to the new format. I can't wait.

I apologize but I don't know who Dugga is? Apparently, Dugga is a fantastic new addition to our Scared Monkeys board.

We'll be out of town, too 2NJ. We'll be in NJ Laughing

First North, then South  Cool

I'm looking forward to the 'seamless' change when I return.

But I hope someone 'chronicles' any interesting events, or invasions  Cool

Good luck conversion team -- and thanks!

I vote for all of the above except the EDIT button.  I'd hate to see posters start deleting their entire posts like what happens at some other forums.  I know not having the edit button is irritating when we misspell things but it can be humorous as well.

Some of these ideas are definitely going to be implemented.

Some of them will be implemented in new ways that you guys haven't seen done here before.

And some we won't be implementing at all.

But keep the comments coming. I am enjoying reading them.

Not to worry, the board will not be open for anonymous "guest" posting. Users will still need a valid account. But we are opening the forums up for new signups. We'll still be able to keep an eye on things.

Dear Dugga,

I appreciate that you have arrived to help us. But I'd still like to know who you are?

Best Wishes, Louise

I think Dugga is more of a dream come true than an actual person - found "Dugga" in a few dictionaries last week  Wink

DUGGA - Three different dictionary results:

dug·ga /duhg-gah/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled
–adjective
1. excellent; great; marvelous: We all had a dugga weekend.
2. of a sort that causes or arouses wonder; amazing; astonishing: The transformation of the SM site was dugga to behold.
—Synonyms 1. awesome, wonderful, wondrous, miraculous, prodigious, astonishing, amazing, astounding, phenomenal.

dug·ga (dŭg-gə) Pronunciation Key
adj.
Capable of eliciting wonder; astonishing: "The ... SM forum is one of the most dugga sites in the world".
Admirable; excellent: "The movement to the new site was dugga. It was joyous."

dug·ga
adjective
extraordinarily good or great ; used especially as intensifiers; "a dugga endeaveour"; "the work on the new site was dugga!"; "a howling success"; "a dugga collection of old posts"; "a tremendous achievement"

I'm just wondering if there's a wait that we could return to our original post/reply after we hit the submit button.

That might help the folks who are behind, and feel that replies are ignored.  I noticed a few people mentioning that tonight.

Hope this makes sense.  I love the countdown.  Glad it's not doomsday.  Shocked

Good idea tcumom - or failing that I would like to see the preview and the submit buttons further apart.  Or the submit button in bright red.
I often click the submit button when I mean to preview first.  Rolling Eyes  Rolling Eyes [/b]

After I post, I hit the "back" button twice and it takes me to where I was reading before I posted.  (It will also tell you if it's time to clean your mouse balls).
