Favorite all time movie:

it's a wonderful life...

I loved, loved, loved Nancy Drew, the Hardy Boys... any kind of mystery I can get my hands on, but I hate the blood and gore kind...

I loved Nancy Drew.  My father read all the Perry Mason and Nero Wolf.  I threw out all my ND when I left home and most of my father's mystery books are gone too.  Wish I still had them.  I do have a few Agatha Christie.

I have a favorite in each category, drama, mystery, action/adventure, comedy, etc.

Citizen Kane was a remarkable film in its time and holds together well today.  The cinematography was brilliant and complimented the period.  Not long ago I purchased the 3 DVD collectors edition of the film and all the background stories almost made watching the movie once again a new experience.

My favorites list could run on for pages so I will stop with that classic for now.  Some new DVD releases are on the way to my mailbox as I write this and I would like to give my opinion once I have viewed them.

I love all of the old Hitchcock movies... they were scary and didn't have the special effects we do today.

The Birds is an example... because it took what is ordinary and twisted it.
