What about the Rolling Stones in 1973?  Give me the title!

Where will it lead us from here?

BT, if you aren't old now, then hiking up and down the hills in SF will make you feel old!  I had the same experience with a cable car there.  I was not as impressed with them at the end of the day as when I first arrived in the city.

Well, let's just say once was enough for me. I don't think I'll be paying them another $10.00 for that particular experience.  Wink

So if Tribe = Arubans
What does Arawaks =?

Could it be a reference to arubian members  of ALE .

You must remember
The Arawaks placed singing beetles with the Babylonian and the two Shivas
They were never alone

I always took the words Tribe and Arawaks to mean the same people--the native Arubans.

I think you are right and Tribe means arubian populace. Not sure why sometimes he capitalizes Arawaks and other times not. He also uses" indian" to refer to arubians too i think. I think some of these analogies were likely thought  of before the actual Shango posts. Thsi is just an impression i get .

Cowboys must behave in Indian territory
The arawaks need pemmican, they have been without wampum, 1 Moon
The Arawaks keep the singing card
One singing Babylonian and two Hindu chanters are enough
His lordships presence guarantees a trio
The key to edens door did not exist
The refrain has already begun

Good points. How does Simian's language/references differ with Simians?

From reading the junk in the book The World According to Joran or whatever it's called, and from any other sources - how far back in time can we account for his drug use, like to about what age?

This sounds like Joran and the 2 Kalpoes IMO Was this when they were each separately taking ALE to the fishermans huts? Can't remember.......

I do believe Shango is showing his American roots here.  Pemmican and wampum are American Indian terms, aren't they?  I doubt they are used in the Caribbean folklore.  This post looks to me like Shango is trying way too hard to emphasize the "cowboy" and "Indian" allusions--he's practically shoving it down our throats with the pemmican and wampum references.  Kind of like, he's saying I'm using the cowboy and Indian references to show you these are enemies, so do you get it?  Yes, we get it, Shango.

Then, he is saying JVDS and the Kalpoes are still jailed and talking, and these three are enough to put in jail.  Really, Shango?  I have my doubts, but I see what you mean.
I'm not sure what the last three lines mean.

1977--I was finally beginning to figure out my life and how to make a living.  Five years after college graduation and into my first real job.  Married, no kids, and went to Europe that summer for the first time.  Life was good.

Funny how old songs can take you to a place that lives so vividly in a memory, yet put away out of necessity.

A friend had bought the brand new Billy Joel 8-Track tape and it filled the car as we drove down to Nu Awlins with a couple of girls.  Our hotel was in Fat City and we finally tripped the lock about daylight.
