Hey Monkeys.  I love this new site!!!!!  Thanks to all those that worked so hard.  I have one question.  How do you post without using the "quote" button.  I am very tired and probably overlooked.

thanks Klaas I'm sort of upset by this... I'll stay online to see if you have info! Where he lived is "very close to home"  Ugh but lots of good people live around there too.

He rented a house... we'd he get that kind of money... House rents are about $2100 and up!!!

In the thread in the Missing Persons forum there is a little more information about where his house was in Los Angeles.  We know she was there as party goers said she was.  I'd bet they are going to look in that vacinity.  Best thing to do would be to call that toll free TES phone number and find out for sure.

The city in which I live borders Palms which is an area of West Los Angeles. It said the address and I am now going to look for it on the map. It's the 3800 and if I weren't too old, I could walk to it. The 3800 of LA is about 10 blks south of where I used the live and about 20 blocks north of where I am now.. I am closer now to the 405... like real close.

Search for Orange County's Donna Jou Intensifies

LOS ANGELES, CA (AP)  --   Authorities searching for a convicted sex offender in the case of a missing female college student found the license plate of a truck belonging to the man, as well as his motorcycle helmet, at a Los Angeles intersection, marking the latest break in the investigation.

   San Diego State University student Donna Jou, 19, was last seen June 23 at the Los Angeles home of John Steven Burgess, whom she met on the Internet.

   Jou's family says the last time they saw Jou was when they watched her leave her Rancho Santa Margarita apartment with Burgess for the party. Her mother received a text-message the day after Jou disappeared that said her cell phone battery was dying, but she'd be home soon. She never arrived.

   Burgess' license plate - SinJin 1 - as well as descriptions of his blue 1998 Ford Ranger pickup and his 1981 Yamaha motorcycle have been widely publicized.

   On Sunday, a black plastic tool box was found by a passer-by about a mile and a half from Burgess' house. Inside was the license plate and a black motorcycle helmet, along with other items police wouldn't identify, said Orange County sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino.


So I'd say they will search near his rental home.

Klaas I looked on the map. It's 1 blk north of the border of Palms and Culver City... 1 blk north of my bank and 1.3 miles from my home now. It's a mixed area of Indians, (from India), Hari Krishners (sp?), Muslems. I had friends who rented there but have moved . Mostly apartments; very few homes. It's right next to I 10. I have delivered meals to some homeless under the freeway there a few years ago.

Sometimes I take a volunteer home at night who lives a 1/2 block away (south). It is not an area I would walk in or go to, unless I knew the people very well. I lived just north of there for 34 years. Palms has changed a lot; rentals are not cheap!!!

I have to take a friend somewhere tomorrow and will be in the area. Was just there about 3 blocks away on Thurs. night. Ugh

sorry the words I wrote didn't come out right. It's just when I take the volunteer home at 10:30 or 11 after meetings there are many people walking around at night. You don't see that that much in LA and it surrounds.
