I'm still on hubby's computer because my laptop still won't connect to the wireless thingy here at home. Anyway, I always use IE because that's all my email wants to work with. Whenever I try to log in to the new SM using IE, it won't work. That was the problem I was having last night. If I use Firefox it seems to work okay. Does this mean that this new software doesn't work with IE and that I'm going to have to keep two browsers open all the time now?

By the way, if I get an answer I might not even know it. I STILL cannot figure out who is saying what in these quote stacks. 

NO - it has nothing to do with IE or the browser you are using.  It's most likely a cookie issue, a cookie saved on your laptop or pc that is directing to the old site.

Most of us use IE and can access the forum with no problems.

Okay, thanks Klaas. If I can ever get the laptop to work again, maybe it won't be a problem on there. Hubby has lots of strange settings on this big computer.

The button on the left is your PROFILE, the button on the right is for PMing.  I don't think the PM system is up and running yet.  On the bottom right of your post only YOU will see that your IP is logged and YOU (also Admin) will see your IP number.  Nobody else can see your IP but YOU and ADMIN.

Oh, and is there any way I can turn off that thing that stops me being able to post because it warns me that someone else has posted in the meantime? That thing is a pain in the butt.

UH-HUH!! My "Favorites" list takes up screen space to the left of my Scared Monkeys window. When it's open, I get horizontal scroll bars under pictures and links in the forum. Try it!

Klaas? Because the avatars are resized automatically, does that mean that when a Holiday is coming up and there's lots of avatars to make, I can just post them "as is"? That would be helpful for me.

Not exactly.  I think the avatars loaded from photobucket get "squared off and resized".  If you try to upload a photo that's too large from your PC I think you get an error. I'm not positive and I'd bet the avatar settings can be adjusted as well.

Down at the bottom of this screen is the "jump to" feature.

I have never seen an indication that the K2 were around.  I do recall a comment made that in a previous situation, they were at C&Cs (back in some booth) similiar to the MB night.

1.  Don't have that answer for you yet
2.  The easiest way I've found to search for a particular persons posts is to go to the Member list, find them then look at their profile and you can choose view their posts.

Remember - this is new to me too
