I have to admit/remark that I had made up the story with the security guard. Joran had acted a bit difficult, but we decided to go to the Holiday Inn. I had locked my car. Me and Joran and his dad got into the back of the police car.

I find it strangely curious that he would add that he locked his car.

Yeah, he didn't have room in it to take all of them because of the body JMHO.  Certainly don't want anyone looking in his car while he's gone.

Well hell, the only reason she would still be there at 7:15 that night would be because she was dead

It's not my theory, but it is possible that Urine got rough with her on the beach, killed her and left her there as if she could have been attacked by anyone.  Somehow Pus (Paulus) found out and that's when he came into the picture.  Just throwing some ideas out there

Let's put this in context:

I didn't hear the conversation, because at that moment a friend of mine came over to talk to me. I had turned around and talked to my friend. After a while I turned around and noticed that Satish, Joran and the girl Natalee were not there any more where I had last seen them stand. I then searched for them in the club but without result. Then I went to look near the bathrooms. I also didn't find them there, I then used the bathroom myself. . After I walked out of the bathroom, I called Joran on his mobile phone. He did not answer. I walked to the parking lot where my car was parked. When I arrived at my car I sat on the ground next to my car, because my brother had the keys. I then called my brother on his mobile phone. I had almot no more minutes on my pre-paid phone so I called him in a way that produces what in English is called a “miss call”. After that my brother phoned me back, I asked him where they were and he said they were still inside and that he would come.

From Satish 6/11 statement:

We, Joran, the girl and myself, had walked over to another bar where we had earlier bought the Yard's. I had not seen my brother anymore. I saw that Joran and the girl were about to drink a shot. At that point I received a "missed call". I did not hear the phone but felt that I was being called, this was because I had set my mobile phone to vibrate. I saw that my brother had called me. I know that my brother didn't have any more credit on his mobile phone and had called him back. My brother answered his phone and asked where we were. I told him that we were still inside Carlos & Charlies. He had told me that he was already at his car. I told him that we would come to where he was. I said to Joran that my brother was already at the car and if we were leaving, because Carlos & Charlies was about to close. Joran said that it was OK that we would be leaving and that the girl would be coming with us.

I think deepak is referring to an immediate discontinue, he hangs up on call as soon as connection is made, and this produces a "missed call" signal for satish.  Deepak is saying that he almost no minutes left...

More importantly, though, imo this is the signal.  deepak has done whatever he needs to do and is in position.  NOTE: both use this phone exchange to be UNAWARE of what is transpiring at bar where jvds buys Natalee a "shot."  satish is telling deepak that shot has been given and to be ready -- perhaps w/ deepak signalling others nearby.

Critical lie perhaps AND signal ? I'm in agreement with the signal opinon.
