JUSTINSMAMA,
You got one of those letters from the perps, too?  Well, if it is not illegal for Paulus to fabricate something like this, it wouldn't be for us to either, would it???  If this is just an AOK thing to do, we should ALL invent them.

I hope this letter was turned over not to the FBI but to the U.S. Postal Inspectors, those very same ones who traced Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid to the remote mountains of Bolivia as they always get their man or punk in this case!   Evil or Very Mad

Anyone can write a letter if they type it.  Geeze, how stupid do they think we are?  But I think this is for local comsumption and you do NOT want me to say anything about what I think of the local mentality in Aruba to believe things like this.

But this is a crime and a complex one and serious.  Like all the underage gambling, etc. why no charges for doing this?  They know who wrote it as well as we do.   Confused

Who knows.  That's a fairly recent photo from his website.  He's going to school in Florida now.

I think his father was doing sometime of speech at the school (science) and Max was demonstrating something. I saw that picture a long time ago.  I believe it was in a local paper or something where I found it back last year, way back.

I think this happens if you take your own photo in a mirror like for tickle or myspace.  Sometimes you get the camera flash back from the mirror reflection.

Not that I have ever done such a thing.   Confused

Not to add fuel to the fire, sotaspeak, but this photo was taken in O'stadt, from the area of CyberZone (where Deepak worked).  It could also have been taken just outside of the Seaport Casino, which is in the same area as CyberZone...

Evening Monkeys . . . Does anyone know if the internet cafe were Deepak works also sold computers or hard drives? If not, where would you find computers or portable hard drives in Aruba? Just a thought I'm trying to explore if anyone has an idea.

Cyberzone Business Model...

Cyberzone did NOT retail hadware.

Cyberzone provided:

1. desktop access to internet for minute fees: 15-20 stations.
2. web page development, possible hosting
3. print services, buisness services
4. art services related to web
5. confectionary services: soft drinks/snacks.

Their equipment was most likely leased.

Hello shadow.  The CyberZone is a typical internet cafe.  No computer/part sales...  There are a number of computer related stores where you could purchase a hard drive.

Just an FYI regarding chats and records thereof, all ISP's residing in the US are required to retain all chat and IM transcripts for a period of years. Any LE can subpoena and provider for a chat or IM transcript quite readily here in the US, for we have initiated that type of investigation even 3 years ago.

The Netherlands is also home of the most talented and proficient hackers on this planet, and are well-known for that expertise. So Aruba had the resources for a sincere effort in forensics on those PC's, this is just one more glaring example of the cover-up in that they chose not to.

Hey Sleuth. Thanks! I figured it was typical but had to ask.

Deepak likely had access to tools such as hardware intellimovers which not only can transfer up to many MPG's in data from any given PC, but also serve as portable hard drives to store that data until you choose to transfer it back or to another PC.

My children and myself use that hardware so it's not neurosurgery.
