My point was that the PC's at the Internet Cafe have to be maintained and restored periodically, that is a given. So he had access to even portable hard drives within their operation.

Hi Sleuth-

I'd wondered where one of our great minds was during the onslaught of all these statements, good to see you diving in !!

I'm holding and thanks about the photo, he's my cowboy  Wink

I would love to see the computer records of the CyberZone - now that would need a thread all of its own, and would take poor Klaasend lightyears to capture, convert to jpg, watermark, etc.....

Don't you think post that night that deepak likely used those PC's for whatever he could, in terms of communication about that night and also backpedaling the cover-up? It's like using a PC in the library for crime, for they cannot prove who was sitting at the keyboard without video recording it?

Deepak likely had access to tools such as hardware intellimovers which not only can transfer up to many MPG's in data from any given PC, but also serve as portable hard drives to store that data until you choose to transfer it back or to another PC.

My children and myself use that hardware so it's not neurosurgery.

Exactly nonesuche. And a way to move video in a way other than directly via the internet.

At first I was thinking that these statements were amazing, but what really amazes me is that that there has not been charges.

The pattern has been identified, the players have been identified.  Why no charges?

The real information lies in the recounts and conversations that took place before they had a chance to collaborate ...

shadow-

I am convinced there was a plan to record that event, it may have been hatched that night or it may be that if there were ever any true investigation, that Natalee was one in a long line of US tourist females with their rapes on video. These perps see women as sport, not as humans. Their own statements validate that.

Ours does now Sleuth and I live in a high-tech community, but they didn't until this last year? So we can be assured Aruba likely never requires an ID? Would Beth know from going to the Internet Cafe in Aruba? Or would Clint van Zandt?

I used to be good with computers and then for the past ten years have not kept up. At work, we are not allowed to fool with them, but I have changed harddrives and have broken the box down and put it back together. Also, CMOS is used to change the clock isn't it ?
If I could do it, so could Deepak.

Just as an FYI, the last time I was in Aruba I went to about 4 internet cafes, bought some time with cash, logged on to a number of sites without using any of my normal identification or looking at anything that could trace me.  There were no restrictions.

One think I noticed was that it was pretty common not to have any access to be able to write to any media - CD-ROM drives were disabled, etc.

The SETAR station, however, allowed usage of the CD-ROM drive.

I decided to go through the photos at the JoranBlog to see if there was anything I missed.  These photos were very dark so I lightened them up.  They are titled Celebrate and dated September 28, 2005 when Joran got out of detention.  Notice these photos appear to be taken in the VDS back yard.  Freddy, Satish, Joran and 3 girls.  So Joran seems to have remained friends with Satish.

Subpoenas require the signature of a judge.  If one would not sign for search of the entire Sloot property (scared they would find his jammies and toothbrush?) what are the chances of getting one to sign for server hard disks, etc. at Cyberzone?   Confused

And to get the MSN one for chats, would prolly be some international action needed.

But that is the sloppiest excuse for a report I have ever seen with that part about we couldn't get all the information because it was deleted, etc. so basically it means nothing except that this was all the suspects chose to leave on their hard drives for us to find.

No wonder it makes no sense at all. . . . .

Good info to know Sleuth, plus I'm sure they allow portable drives for all that requires is an open port, plug-in and go.

Anna-

AOL is the largest provider in the US, honestly our cyber crimes unit here in our city was able to secure a subpoena for instant message logs and histories in 48 hours. What we need to remember however is that different rules apply for servers that reside in different countries. For example, the Netherlands and even Canada have far more relaxed rules for servers/ISP's in their boundaries than the US does.

I can't know about Aruba.

Looks like Max Arends is holding a spotlight for a camera shoot?  In a motel room?

Wow Ono, great catch...I was so distracted by the fact that he looks like a girl in the photo, I didn't pay much attention to anything else!! Cool

I completely agree with you. I also think it is possible there is a much larger ring of porno on that island. These pimps are immulating or maybe they are taking advantage of and taping the very girls they are delivering to someone else for the real video. Just a thought??
