I was just searching for some photos and ran accross the photo of the black belt that was found by the Lighthouse.  Sure looks like the same belt to me:

Anyone else find it weird that Dave said he doesn't even know if the condom has been turned in?

Wonder if he meant:

to ALE
to Holland

???

We've heard that an item is being tested in Holland ... could it be:

pipe,
clothing
condom

or .... maybe they just put it in the file drawer.   Laughing

What was said on the Kim G show ? Question  Question

Jossy was on - also Beth and Dave.

Jossy told the story about the Columbian witness.  Same thing except he indicated that Joran was IDed after the witness saw his photo in the paper/news.  He also indicated that there was a condom found and a piece of fabric that Natalee's mother could identify.

Dave I believe mentioned that there was also a metal pipe found that they believe was used to weigh her down.  Dave doesn't know if condom turned in yet.

Beth hasn't been asked to look at the fabric...

Think that's it.

Thanks. I don't know why everything out of Aruba is always so confusing and illogocal.

Any guesses to what the piece of clothing or fabric could be?

You have to give Joran credit. He found a way to travel extensively without it costing him a dime.

This is where this case frustrates the living daylights out of me.

How difficult would it have been for Art Wood to say what size the belt was? A 32, 34, 36?

Then how difficult would it have been for Greta to have asked JVDS during her interview what his belt size was? She asked his shoe size.

I read where the belt Joran used had distinctive buckle holes. Squared off instead of curved.

JM was not that happy about that interview.  A few details were left out, but I can't say more because.... (do I sound like anyone else?)

Klaassend,
If that is not the same belt, it is an identical one.  Same width and same elongated holes.  While certainly not unique, I do find it rather unusual, enough so that it certainly appears to be the same one to me.  What are the odds of there being another just like that one and it just happens to turn up near a suspected crime scene?

But this is Aruba.  I keep forgetting.  Rolling Eyes

The found belt appears to have squared off holes.

I think the fabric is the underwear because everybody could ID the outfit.  Maybe this is why Anita, Joren and the whole gang were talking about them so early on.  They knew they got left behind but perhaps Joran couldn't find them in the dark???

Because he could not say them at this time or because he was not given enough time or the network quashed him from saying more?

Anna, that is a very good point... makes total sense... I always wondered what kind of boy describes underwear to his mom..that's just sick... and she had to have seen them ...
