.
Anyone still have the email address or snail mail address for Joe's Crab Shacks that we contacted a while back?

IF you have it, please post in the Natalee Holloway thread as Frank is after them again.  They still have the item on their menu named the Aruba sandwich or whatever it is.

TIA

Anna,
Thanks for directing me to the correct place for chit chat..

Sorry Klass, got off topic over there.  It's not me, it's this HEAT....

Hi TNMOM Smile  We're all still adjusting where to post too.  Sometimes I forget where I am when I post too.
Come here and muse with us    or join us in chat.

The Chat moves so fast I can't keep up sometimes.  Because I come and read then off to do something and back again.

I will try again someday soon.

It is nice to know the heat is not just around me, sometimes it gets too ya.  I have a new house with new yard.  It was pretty green in May, it looks like a desert right now.  I too have been watering my landscaping twice a week, but I feel like everyday the plants are saying water  -w-a-t-e-r.

I understand about the cattle sales, I have a friend that dug a pond, put fence on 10 acres and then went out and bought 20 cows in the spring, he's watching the money fly out the window everyday.  His pond is dry, so he has to provide tap water, the field is dead, he's buying hay and the price of it has doubled.  He's tempted to sell and try again next year, but still holding on...

Hope everyone stays cool or at least comfortable.  Going out to see what plants died today

I wouldn't know about that.  The land is nice, with a few tree areas.  They looked nice out there when he first got them.

the first thing that comes to mind is what in the heck does he do with all of the crap?????

He cant possibly be spreading it on 10 acres and still have room for grazing.

2 acres minimum for grazing.  10 acres = 5 cows so he has a little miscalculation going on from the start.  I have 4 horses on 20 acres and just paid the man for hay!

I couldn't help it, I called him.  He said standard here is 3 per acre, and that 7 arew calfs.  That's what the old farmers tell him.  So I don't know.  He only fenced the 10 acre lot, but said his plans to fence another 10 or so were for spring.  But he may sell before then.  He has a total of 270 acres but started with the 10 this spring for cows.
He was defensive.  So I better not talk about his cows anymore.

And what a huge guy that must be to have a head that big.
