BANGOR, Maine - Bangor native Patrick Duddy loves his job as a career diplomat.

But soon that affection for his work may be tested like never before.

Duddy, 56, a graduate of John Bapst High School and Colby College, has worked for the U.S. State Department, predominately in Latin America, for 25 years. Most recently, he was confirmed by the Senate and sworn in on Aug. 9 by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice as the new U.S. ambassador to Venezuela. Read more>>>>
