Suspect In Texas Killing Spree Arrested in New York
Monday , August 27, 2007

 AUSTIN —

A 43-year-old man suspected in the shooting death of a man in Marble Falls, Texas and a quadruple homicide in suburban Austin on Sunday, has been arrested in New York, MyFoxAustin reported Monday.

Authorities have announced the capture of Paul G. Devoe III, who has been wanted since Friday for the murder of a Marble Falls bartender and is a suspect in the deaths of four people found inside a suburban Austin home Sunday. Federal marshals confirmed to MyFoxAustin that police in Shirely, N.Y., in Suffolk County, N.Y., have Devoe in custody.

Officers found the bodies Sunday evening after a relative called police to check on a family member's welfare at the Jonestown area home, Travis County Sheriff's spokesman Roger Wade said. The deaths have been ruled homicides, but detectives searched for more clues Monday to determine why and how they were killed, a sheriff's spokesman said.

He did not release the identities, ages or genders of the dead, but neighbors said a mother and her teenage daughter lived in the home. Medical examiners were working Monday on positively identifying each of the victims and on pinpointing the causes of death, Wade said.

Sheriff's investigators assisted the Jonestown Police Department and obtained a search warrant to enter the house late Sunday, Wade said. The people inside were pronounced dead about 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

A faded white 2001 model Saturn station wagon was missing from the home where the bodies were found, officers said. The license plate number is Y43-ZWV.

Husband Arrested in Death of Colorado Woman Buried in Gold Mine
Monday , August 27, 2007

 CRAIG, Colo.  —

The husband of a woman missing since June was arrested on suspicion of murder after her body was found buried deep in a gold mine he operated, police said Sunday.

The body of Cynthia Hankins, 36, was found Saturday under tons of dirt in the mine, 33 miles north of Craig.

Terry Hankins, 70, was arrested on charges of first-degree murder, abusing a corpse, tampering with evidence, forgery, theft and possession of a controlled substance. Mrs. Hankins was reported missing June 3.

The suspect was in custody at the Moffat County Jail. Mrs. Hankins was likely killed in the city before she was buried, police said.

"Utilizing heavy equipment and hand tools, it took investigators over six hours to exhume the burial site," police said in a written statement. The body was found in a grave about five feet deep and covered with a pile of dirt about 12 feet wide and six feet wide.

Police said detectives were investigating other criminal activity that allegedly involved Mr. Hankins when they uncovered information related to his wife's disappearance.

Search warrants containing details of the investigations were sealed.

Good afternoon.  I am new here and I guess I just need to comment of this debate about the forum.  I am still trying to fit myself into the site but I do find it easier to have the site for Natalee only and this site for Whatever.  I think what is being expressed is by having so many new people here it is pushing the older members into the background.  I have lurked on this site since day-one and really don't know why it took me so long to join.  I also belong to BFN and cannot contribute there for all the trolls and in-fighting going on at that site.  So I always come back here for any true info I need.  I do networking and help desk daily and believe me I know the time and effort put in by all to make this work.  I for one appreciate their time and effort to give so many people a place to come to and share thoughts and ideas that could one day help end this nightmare for this family.  The only thing I care about at this point is finding Natalee.  But in the meantime I hope to make some new friends and hope I am not intruding in anyones space.

Sure, I'm game.  What's it going to be?  Pumpkins under the moon or a scarecrow reflecting in the moon?

Parents: Airplane Crew Kept 1lb Preemie Alive Using Drinking Straw, CPR
Monday, August 27, 2007

A family is crediting an airline cabin crew for saving the life of their tiny premature baby after the crew delivered him and kept him alive at 30,000-feet using a drinking straw and CPR, SkyNews has reported.

Little Alfie was born when his 25-weeks-pregnant mother Nicola Delemere suddenly went into labor on a First Choice Airways flight from Manchester, U.K. to Crete, Greece.

Flight supervisor Carol Miller supported Delemere, 31, as the little boy was born weighing just 1 pound, 1 ounce as the plane passed over Germany.

Then Miller cleared Alfie's lungs with a drinking straw before carrying out mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and heart massage for a half-hour as the pilot diverted for an emergency landing at a London airport.

Alfie was taken to St George's Hospital in London's Tooting section for specialist care before being transferred to hospital in the family's home town of Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire. Alfie was born in April, but just recently left the hospital weighting 5 pounds, 5 ounces

This really is a feel good story!!  thanks Klaas...I am going to share this with others!

Wow. This is a pleasant thing to walk into on a Monday. I thought that horse died once and for all last week. But some folks are still beating it?

Kudos to Klaas for tactfully attempting to change the subject several times.
