I was certainly under the impression that the "wrongful death" suit was thrown out as well! I thought it was "jurisdictional".

Not positive, but I think it was back in June 2007 that we heard the Twitty vs. Kalpoe case was dismissed.  I don't think we ever saw anything from the court saying it was dismissed though or if we did I don't remember.

After thinking some more -- maybe the ruling in June was that the Holloway/Twittys could not "attach" the wrongful death suit to the Dr. Phil suit. Maybe Beth, filed a whole different suit after that.

LOS ANGELES - A judge on Friday dismissed a wrongful-death lawsuit against two brothers from the Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba that was filed by the parents of an American teenager who vanished during a vacation there.

The parents of Natalee Holloway cannot sue in Los Angeles because the case has no California connection and the courts lack jurisdiction over the brothers, Superior Court Judge Charles C. Lee said.

The teen's parents, Elizabeth Ann Twitty of Alabama and Dave E. Holloway of Mississippi, will decide whether to appeal, said their attorney, John Q. Kelly.

Thanks -- the original suit was by both Dave and Beth ---- is only Beth alone filing the "appeal"?

ok.. so now we know that it was dismissed, but with the k2 suit that may change... let's hope so!

Well, that is from back in June.  The "pending" and the future court date of December 2007 was there prior to the Kalpoe hearing on August 30th.  I'm wondering if JQK has appealed their wrongful death suit.
