Angels Are True

« Reply #1140 on: August 14, 2007, 06:06:32 PM »

This is for all the people here who need prayers,I post it because sometimes I'm not too good with words but I want you to know that I have been reading your prayers and I get so much strength from you all.
I had a mammo last friday, have a older sister who passed away from breast cancer. The doc's office said I will get the results by mail within the week.I was having no problems, just a regular mammo but it scares me.
You will all be in my prayers like I hope I am in yours.

Karma - if they thought you were having problems, they would probably call instead of sending you results by mail. If they do call, though, it doesn't necessarily mean anything. They called me once and said something looked abnormal on the mammogram, and they wanted me to go have an ultrasound. I had to wait two weeks to have that done, and I was nervous as heck. Then, after the ultrasound was completed, they told me they didn't see anything. Said it was probably a smudge or shadow or something. Pfffttt!!!!

Try not to worry. I'll bet everything will be perfect.
Thank you TcuMom,BT,Mishy and Mrs Red
The mammo office called last night, wanted me to call them but it was too late by the time I got their message.I called this morning and they want another mammo done on the left side only.I asked if they found anything but of course the nurse wouldn't tell me so I go back in at 8:30 am tomorrow to redo the left side. They said the doc needed a better view. Then another whole week of waiting I guess.Trying not to let my imagination run wild, trying to stay strong and I am hoping and praying all is well.If it's not well,I pray for the strength and courage I know I'm going to need.
You all give me strength, thank you.

Karma, that happened to me... worst few days of my life... and I even made RED go with me to the second one... and it was fine... a "deodorant" line or something... I pray it will be the same for you..

God does hear and answer us all.... and he promises where we gather in his name so shall he be... so I am very blessed to be here surrounded by you who in turn bring him here..

This thread is so uplifting, I read it first whenever I sign on...then I say an extra prayer for all those who need them.

Today I will ask you to remember my family in your prayers.  Last Wed, we received a call that my father was not doing well.  In the past 7 days, he has become totally unresponsive, breathing is shallow and he can no longer swallow. Today, hospice has told us that his blood oxygen is about 60% and he has no more than a couple of days.  We will be sad to lose him, but he has suffered so much from the Parkinson's the past two years, we cannot be sad to see him finally released from all that. My mother has Alzheimer's, and has been totally non-communicative for over four years.  The day my dad started going downhill, she began to get extremely agitated, wringing her hands and bedcovers.  She appears to have no interaction at all with her environment, so we must assume that they have some kind of "communication" that we are not privy to.  They just celebrated their 56th anniversary in April.

We will appreciate your prayers for us during this time.

Lexie - adding you and your family to my prayers.
It is sad to have loved ones leave us but I am sure they go to a realm of love and peace and leave behind their earthly cares and afflictions.
I also believe that those who are unresponsive to their immediate surroundings are aware and can communicate in ways we would find impossible to believe.  Love is the glue that holds us all together wherever we may be.
Hugs for you

Lexie

You and your whole family will be in my prayers. When your parents leave here, they will be going to a realm of immense love.

As Wayne Dyer says, "We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience." The end of the human experience is only a return to the wonderful spiritual experience.

Hugs.

I have you all in my prayers.
I went for 2nd mammo and an ultra sound. They found 3 cysts, one is 1cm,the other 2 are real small.I spoke to the radiologist,His recommendations:
Wait 3 months then come in for another mammo/US for comparison.
OR
Have a needle biopsy.
I see my regular doc 8/24 so will discuss with her but I'm going for the needle biopsy. The radiologist says he is almost positive they are fluid filled cysts and harmless but we want to make sure.
I want to thank you all for keeping me in your prayers. You are all in mine.

lexie- I have you and your family in my prayers.  It is indeed hard to see someone suffering so from a disease and knowing they only have a short time with us.  I have been in somewhat a similar place, and can tell you that with others support and love it will in time get better.

It is hard to turn them loose, but know that in their passing they become whole again and all their pain and suffering will be no more.

Prayers for you, your mom and dad and family...Strength and Comfort.(((hugs)))

Karma - thanks for keeping us updated.  You will remain in my prayers.  I don't blame you for wanting to know for sure.  I am sure it will all be okay...sounds very positive to me!

Thank you to all for the prayers and kind words.  My father passed away about 11 a.m. today.  We are all doing fairly well, although three siblings and many other relatives will be traveling long distances to get here.  Services are Monday.  We will celebrate his life, and the Atonement of Christ, that gives us comfort in sadness, and hope that in the resurrection, we will all be together as a family once more.  Thank you for your continued prayers on our behalf.

Lexie, my heart goes out to you and your family at this sad time, with your father's passing.  My Dad has been gone from this earth for three years now, and yet I think of him often and smile and remember him with love.  I hope that with time, the pain of your father's passing will soften as it has for me after my dad's passing.  {{{hugs}}}

Thank you all for your kind words.

To Tib & BT:  Just wanted to tell you you are right about the communication.  I have mentioned before her lack of interaction with anyone around her.  She has spoken only one or two intelligible words in the last 3 years. She speaks seldom, and when she does it is gibberish.  My father died at 11:10.  At 11:30, the staff came into the room to feed my mother.  She was noticeably sad, and agitated.  Her only words were, "Come back! Come back!" as clear as they could be.  She knows.  We do not know how, but she knows.

lexie - you and your family are in my prayers. God Bless you all.

I am so saddened to hear about none's nephew. My goodness, she is having a difficult year. Sad
I will add none and her family to my prayers as well as mrs. red's friend and daughter, and Karma.

God will comfort each and every one of us, and help us find that place of peace, with time. I know he will give  us strength to get through our hard times.
