Good Morning Everyone.
I have a prayer request:
A friend of mine has a boy; Tristan age 12. He recently found a "lump" on his thigh, about the size of a golf ball. They removed it Wed. and really believed it to be a cyst. Well, it wasn't, it was malignant. Soft tissue sarcoma, a relatively rare thing. The family has to wait a week to know the course of treatment, whether the surgeon got it all & the exact type of sarcoma. I am beyond shocked. I have been making his b'day cakes since he was 3 & we're friends with the entire fam, grand parents & all! This has hit them like a lightning bolt! Please keep them in your prayers, Thank you All! Monken

Monken, my thoughts and prayers are with Tristan and his family. I lived outside of Memphis and did volunteer work at St. Jude hospital and they are phenomenal...........pls have them chek out St. Jude, they can and will pay for travel there, put the family up in housing and they even develop their own drugs. The entire staff there is the best, they are the best at childhood diseases, obviosly specializing in the treatment of cancers and luekemia. Money is NO object to St. Jude, if they need financial help, St. Jude does whatever possible to help out there also.

Monken,
I am tagging off Island's message to make sure you see it.  St. Jude is great, so do tell them what she said.

I have added Tristan to CVV and the new mommy and baby and so many others!  I peek in here to say my prayers for monkeys, so sometimes I leave a note and sometimes not - but chances are you are getting a prayer!

Just wanted to thank the monkeys again and let you know that, even if I'm not posting, I'm reading your requests & praying for you in return.
Maybe it is ok, if I just ask for prayers for Ray, Debbie, Matthew and Mandy. Enough said. Thank you so much and I am keeping a watchful eye on your requests.

God watch over our children and keep them safe.

As a 4 yr member of this forum and following all the cases, sad as they are.   I do consider you all part of my extended family, even the newest members and those who may not know me.  I have not posted much lately and just stay in luck mode now, to keep up with all the cases.  But one thing never changes.  The tenacity and love this forum projects.  I feel so honored to be a part of this group.

I do want you to know, I keep you all in my prayers, even those who may not post their needs, as God knows what they are.  You are all very special and I pray God watches over each of you and your families under any circumstances.

I appreciate the many times you have been there for me and I felt the comfort of knowing that.  There is power in Prayer!

So I pray God blesses you,  comforts you and your families in need and eases the pain you may suffer.

Sincerely,

Di

Monken, Tristan and his family are in my prayers. What a shock for them and you and all family friends to bear! I'm praying that it's gone, never to return and that Tristan's health is not compromised in any way. God Bless!

IM...........  You, Elijah and Mommie remain in my prayers. HUGS!

EverySunset,  I'm asking that God hold Ray, Debbie, Matthew and Mandy in His hands.

Thank you everyone so so much, I hope to know more soon and will post an update. They have already discussed St Jude's, that's where they'll go if they need to, they live just 3 hrs. from there. I do know they said it had not invaded the bone, so they hopefully will not have to take his leg. I swear life sucks sometimes; you're just rockin along & then, Bam, brick wall. I firmly believe the only way to get through these situations is through Jesus. Thank you all for your prayers. Love, Monken

Islandmonkey are you the one with the preemie? My niece has a miracle child; born at 24 weeks, 1lb. 12 ozs. I posted her reciting the Pledge of Allegience the other day. She will be 4 this month. Here is an article from her 1 year b'day. God truly works miracles!

I just wanted to say....I read this thread often, even if I don't post. Each and every prayer request touches my heart. I have you all in my thoughts and prayers every day, even those of you whose needs are unmentioned.

"God is good every day"......this I learned from someone who meant a lot to us here at SM. I do believe it, and that thought has helped me through some tough days.

God Bless You All.

Thank you so much for posting this~it just keeps me positive and your prayers are so powerful. Elijah is fully recovered from his pnuemonia and is stable.

Here is a picture of how tiny he is.

CBB~You are in my prayers along with your son. You are one of my favorite monkeys and it breaks my heart to see you worried. I KNOW prayers work, and I'm using peache's line "I'm expecting a miracle" for every prayer request on SM.

Love,

Good morning Monkeys -- the tenderness here has brought tears to my eyes, both with the needs stated, as well as the kinds words from fellow monkeys.  I have said prayers for all of you this morning and wanted to bring a prayer request to you as well.

Lucinda is going to have additional tests today at the hospital as they found some abnormalities last week when she saw her specialist.  Lucinda is a very strong woman but she has been sick lately with her scleroderma and helping her best friend through the loss of her son.  Thank you.

May God's hand touch all of you today with his Mercies and Grace.  How precious Elijah is, IM, and know that I am praying that God protect him from further illness and help him to grow to be a big strong, healthy baby boy.  CBB, I am praying for you and your son and know that God is guiding you and your doctors.  2NJ -- I am so sorry for your loss and may you all find some peace at this time and some laughs of days gone by.  I am praying for Tristan and asking God to touch his leg and make it well and whole.  EverySunset, I don't know the need but God does and may He provide what each needs.  May AprilShowers son's body be wrapped with God's arms, may it heal and be whole again.  And for Lucinda, may God be with you every step of the way directing the doctors in any diagnosis and/or treatment and healing your precious body.

I have not been here much this weekend but I am now caught up. I want all of you to know that I have been thinking about you and praying for you.

CBB - know that I will say an extra prayer for you and that God gives you strength not just for yourself but for your son.

IM - He is so sweet - I will keep all on my prayer list.

Lucinda - not sure you are around but I pray for peace for you and knowledge for the doctors.

To anyone I have forgotten - I have not forgotten to pray, just to list you here. Peace to all of you.
