Janet,

I read your post over in NCD.  I will keep B in my prayers.   For him to come to you means that you are as special to him/them as he and his family is to you.  They'll need you moving forward.

I believe that our families do have special bond after almost 35 years in the same neighbourhood but ... the visit did surprise me nevertheless.  Both B. and my hubby are alike.  Outside of the immediate family ... deep feeling are seldom shared.

I thank God I was home this morning but ... on the other hand, I am so troubled.

Thank you 2NJSons.

Sister, Just a short line to you tonight. I saw you earlier on the thread, so I glad that you have been drawn back her. I am very tired tonight, and very unsettled with our political state, and what is going to happen to all of us. I am putting it all in Gods hands, and I will contine to pray every night for you and Connie.

With Much Love

My hubby is still fishing with BILs and ... my long time neighbour/friend is in Alberta caring for her two grandchildren while their Mom and Dad are enjoying a mini vacation on their own.

My friend's hubby dropped by this morning with sticky buns and ... requested I put on the coffee pot as he had something to share.  This has never happened before so I knew that something was up.

B. shared in tears that he was told yesterday in a conference with his physician that cancer which has been in remission for ten years has returned with a vengence.  He does not know how to tell his wife and family.  He loves them so much and knows they will be devastated.

Monkeys ... you do not know B. but God does.  I am solicitating prayers on his behalf.

Thank you.

Janet

Janet, I am praying for B. and his family.   I am also praying for you, that you have the strength to endure the responsibility his request has placed on you.

Sister, I am still praying for you and Connie.

Fanny Mae, I am praying for you, just because...

IBE, praying for you, as I have been since meeting you on the Donna Jou thread and being amazed at your presence for her family.  I will now add your faithful companion to those prayers.

For all Monkeys, especially those who are burdened and do not share those burdens with others, I am praying for you.

From my family, thank you so very much for the prayers and condolences. My fil went very peacefully thankfully. My husband and I were holding his hands as he died.  It was so fast, only 4 weeks...The services and viewing are tomorrow, I hope we have thought of everything. My husband and I are planning it. He is holding up ok during all of this but we have been so busy with the planning, I don't think he has had time to stop and think. It will hit him next week after the burial and when we come back to California. (the burial is out of state).
Thanks again for the messages, it was meaningful to read.

Sister, (((((((hugs))))))))) to you. I am praying for your sister and your family

Prayers of strength to all

Tracygirl, Our Father God, we thank you for life and all that makes life sweet and worth the living.  We thank you for the good friends that are ours.  We thank you that you have set us in families and have bound us together both by ties of blood and the bonds of friendship.  We thank you for a father's love.  We thank you for the human hearts that are so kind and knowing that love lights more fires than hate extinguishes.  It is good to be alive, our Father, and we thank you for the joy of living.
We thank you, too, for death.  Our bodies were not made to last forever; they grow tired and worn.  And we thank you that when our work is done, and the day is spent, we may fare homeward and be with you, freed from all limitations and weaknesses of the body.  We thank you that our times are in Thy hands, that we have not the ordering of our lives but live and move in you -- whose wisdom is love and whose love is wisdom.  We thank you that we don't live in vain if we live at our best.  We thank you that though we seem to fail, the forces of evil are the weaker, and the forces of good stronger, because we have dreamed and hoped and dared.
We thank you for the life of Tracygirl's father-in-law, which has come to its final change.  May those who loved him remember to do him honor by being more like him and to show their love for him by doing the things he loved the best, and their gratitude for him by being the kind of men and women in which he always took pride.  May we be gentler, kinder, more thoughtful of others and more eager to help and serve, for thus only can the world be compensated for his loss.  May all his friends be braver men and more gracious women and so prove that he lived not in vain.
We give back to nature only that which is natural, to the grave only that which the grave can hold.  At his going out from our hearing and sight, we give him a hail and a cheer.  Give him a joyous entrance, we humbly beg you, O Lord of Life, and all the brave spirits who have gone before!  We pray in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, whose we are and whom we serve.  Amen.

Janet, I am so sorry I missed your post here yesterday. I have been very tired every night lately, and I apologize. But I am here tonight, and I will keep B. in my prayers. I know this is painful for you, and will be in the future for his family and yours. I will continue to pray for you all.  an angelic monkey

Thank you sister very much for the beautiful prayer. I am going to show it to my husband, I am sure he will love it as well.

Today went well. My husband made everyone cry with his words of love for his father. Our aunt said a public thank you to me for caring for him in his final weeks, I was surprised and very touched by that. Pops looked just like he was sleeping...It was so sad but it was also nice to come together and remember his life.
Thanks again for your kind words. Now it is off to the burial. We have a long trip ahead of us

Tracygirl, be safe my friend.  In the coming weeks your husband is going to need you very much.  Not some much to say anything, just to be the one to listen and hold his hands.  My love to your family.

Good night my monkey friends, will dream tonight about all the children (and adults) sitting around the feet of Jesus holding each other's hands and singing, where there is no more pain or sorrow, or people who will not look out for them.

Thank you No Rose, we stayed encouraged.  She said the other day she had lost her thoughts.  She is really trying.  Her birthday is Wednesday, and in these last few days I have picked up the phone to call her about one thing or another.  It's hurting my heart so much.  We are a close family and I am so grateful for that.  She would be doing the same for me and I know it.  As would my brother and other sister.  We are blessed!

Heavenly Father, we are so grateful that you never sleep and are always watching over your children.  We humbly ask that your hand will guide the doctors' hands, that your wisdom will be the doctors' wisdom, and that your anointing spirit will encompass this family and ease their troubled spirits.  May the balm of Gilead touch this man's heart, in a physical way and in a spiritual way.  We say all things in the name of the Great Physican and Healer, Jesus our Savior.  Amen and Amen.

Tomorrow is my sister Connie's birthday.  We had plans to be in Key West, our favorite vacation place.  Please pray for my Mom, tomorrow is already hard for her today.  There will be no cake, Connie doesn't like cake, I'm baking her a cherry pie and Mom is making peas and dumplings.  Taking some balloons . . . dear Lord, my heart is breaking right now.  Please forgive me for crumbling when I know you have her in the palm of your Hand.  Not in my time, but by your perfect time.  I humbly ask for your forgiveness.  Amen.
