Lala's has such a beautiful heart, I can say this for I've met her, there is enough goodness within her to light the world.

Mishy and I were talking by phone last night, she has friends at work now with cancer and need our prayers. I also have mentioned a monkey who is suffering with the same and who needs our prayers. There is so much sickness and heartache for so many, we all need to be thankful for our health and our happiness however fleeting it is.

Mrs I am embarking on some new learning experiences too, won't be able to post much during the day but all of you are in my heart and my prayers always. If only our world were kinder to one another as we try to be for each other here, I think we could all endure the challenges so much better.

Peaches your dad is in my prayers as are you. NJSons_Mom if anyone can build a bridge it's you, I know you will, prayers for you also.

Thanks, Artcolley, CCB, Nonesuche...I let that biting feeling go for these past several days...said nothing...CBB, you advice was right on .  Nonesuche, I haven't built the bridge but long to hear the water flowing beneath it.

Lala's, your post was wonderful, and I should have acknowledged before this.

Keeping all members in my thoughts & prayers.

Yes, CBB...it's quite a place...I, too, need some prayer...have some conflict with recent sibling choice and the overall affect on others..need inspiration from the greater power to handle it...afraid to overreact...pray that I don't...it's too tempting.

I'm remembering you 2NJ! If my own experience is at all helpful, I'll share with you what works for me in those situations. Before the encounter even happens, I pray that God will take control of my eyes, ears, mouth, legs, and also the party I'm struggling with. Then I mentally remove that party from the actual interaction and interact only with God's measure of me in that situation. That seems to put Him between us and all things are filtered throuh Him.  Wink

CBB that is terrific advice. 2NJ, my prayers are with you in this situation. Let God guide your words, decisions, actions, and reactions...

Monkeys, as None mentioned, I have a coworker who is having surgery soon regarding polyps in her colon. They removed a few small ones on Friday that were precancerous. The big one they are going after soon is suspected to be cancerous...she's a terrific and genuine woman and trusts that the journey God is leading her on will have a wonderful outcome...

Also, a coworker's wife has a fast mestatizing breast cancer. They think they got it all with a series of surgeries and she's going to undergo chemoradiotherapy soon...she won't quit smoking and has severe sleep apnea. Please pray for these, my friends....

Also I got an email from dk pen, who is in a health crisis. She's just been very sick and had her gallbladder removed. While she was at the hospital, they did an EKG prior to surgery and found that she's got some scar tissue or something around her heart and suspect that she may have had a mild heart attack...she will have a stress test soon...Please pray for her recovery from her recent surgery. She says that she's really overdone it today and she's paying dearly for it now. Please also pray that her heart is OK...

My prayers go out to all of you! Lalas, thanks for your post about Easter. Very touching...

Mishy - my prayers for your coworkers.  Hoping they have caught all their cancerous invaders in good time and they can look forward to better health in the near future.

Prayers and best wishes for dkpen.  It is hard to imagine someone can have a heart attack and not know about it but it seems to happen a lot.  I do hope she recovers quickly from the surgery and the heart tests come back clear for her.  She will have to learn to relax and take it easier from now on.

Mishy - prayers and hugs for you and your family.

My prayers and best wishes to all our Monkey friends who are not feeling very well or have loved ones who are not well or with other problems.
God bless.

You guys always come through for me!

One of my best friends just delivered her breech baby (her first!) yesterday via planned c section and that went well so Erika is fine, but the baby, Sienna, has a transposition of the great vessels.  (Her heart recirculates oxygenated blood back to her lungs....) It's to be fixed via open heart surgery at the NC Children's Hospital this morning.  Prognosis is good and most children with this lead normal healthy lives after the correction, which is basically switching the vessels around so the blood flows correctly and not just between the heart and pulmonary system, but it IS open heart surgery which has it's own set of risks.

Can you all keep Sienna in your prayers?  She'll also be hospitalized (3 hours from here) for at least 2 months so Erika could use some thoughts as well.

THANKS!

I am keeping all of you in my prayers and adding new ones everyday.

Who, there is a special place in my heart for the little ones that are suffering. I pray all goes well and that the Lord comforts the Mother during this trying time.

Some of our fellow Monkeys have had such a hard time of it lately..it breaks my heart.

Prayers also go out to DK.
And of course...

To all of you!
You all sure helped me along with your prayers in my time of need and I will never ever forget any of you!

Bless you all

Like Yapper I pray for all my Monkey friends that there needs will be met.

Whodunnit, I have a nephew who was born with Transposition of the great vessels. This was in 1975. His original surgery was a stent to keep the patent ovales open like it is in fetal circulation. I think they wound up doing that twice trying to wait until he grew a little before doing his final correction. Of course that was 32 years ago so maybe they are able to do the final correction on Newborns now.
Nephew is doing well. I pray your friends baby does also.

God is good all the time!

My dad went home from the hospital last Saturday morning.  I was surprised he didn't leave AMA!  He said the nurses could use a course in good bedside manner because they were surely lacking.  He did have a couple nurses he liked alot so I guess it all balances out.

Thank you all for praying my Dad through this mini crisis.  Although pneumonia in someone his age(83) is cause for concer, he's on the mend.  I've talked to him several times this week and I know he's glad to be getting back to work and feeling better.

Again, thank you.  You've prayed me through my cancer this past year and a half.  I couldn't have done it without y'all and God.

I will pray for all of those mentioned.  Mishy - for your co-workers, Whodunit - for that dear baby and family - and for all the other requests that have been mentioned.

I keep all of my monkey friends in my prayers daily.  You are all so dear to me.  I may not always post, but you are indeed in my prayers

I am asking for prayers for my cousin being deployed to Iraq and also one of my dearest friends.  One is too young to be going and the other too old but off they go.

So if any Monkeys feel so inclined, please pray that they both have a safe tour of duty and return well.  They are not deploying together and don't really even know each other.  My friend is almost my age but is filling a void created by Marine loss of so many officers.  One of the first helicopters shot down had three aboard.

The other is the son of my first cousin and just a kid to me.  I can't imagine him in actual combat as he still seems such a baby.  He is Special Ops so those who know about that know it can be especially dangerous.  This is his second deployment, however, and he did volunteer for it.  Well, really both of them did.

But prayers for them and all our troops would be so appreciated.

Thank you,

Anna

Anna
Prayers for your loved ones.  I know there is little comfort with them being so far away.  I will most certainly remember them in my prayers.  God bless them for putting their lives on the line for my freedom.  Tell them thank you for me.

My nephew will be returning to Iraq for his second tour soon.  He and my neice have a 4 year old boy and a one month old baby girl.  He is a member of the 39th National Guard from Arkansas.  As the days go by please remember him and his family in your prayers as well as all families and soldiers in harms way!  Thanks to my Monkey friends!

Hi everyone!

Thank you for the well wishes and prayers. They must be working because today I feel much better. Still taking it slow for the next few weeks. Do not want to over do it.
As sweet mishy said, I had emergency gallbladder surgery a week ago. I had been feeling sick for a couple months now and was being treated for acid reflux. Last week we learned I had a very sick gallbladder with a very large stone and a very bad perforation/infection. The EKG was abnormal which scares me most. My father passed away with a heart attack at age 44 and my brother has a couple blocked arteries. So, I will have to learn to slow down and take better care of me.

I am sending prayers to each one of you who are on the list and are in hopes for the safety for the mens lives headed for Iraq.

God bless~
