Quote from: Tibrogargan
Marlee it is said that we are not sent more to deal with than we can manage but sometimes it seems that it is way over our capabilities.  Just remember that God can see into our hearts far better than we can ourselves and knows how strong we really can be.  Stay strong and know all your monkey family are with you in prayer and love.

Tibro - I know that saying well, but there has to be a point where is has to stop. I have been through three years of hell -  That is not an exaggeration - continuing right through this week.

I am sorry I am so negative.  I try to stay positive and strong but it is getting to be very, very hard.  (yes, I do see a therapist..lol)

Thank you all my monkey friends for the prayers, love and support.

Maybe with your continued prayers things will get better.  They have too.

Kimmy that is great news about Rhonda, I'm so glad !!

Marlee, I am no counselor or expert but have had a great life with few hard knocks for the first half, the second half has seemed to remedy that blessing lumping a lot of hard knocks. I will say I tried to say to myself and to my kids that good things do happen to good people, and to say it often enough out loud I had to believe it too - to remind me to believe it.

Try to vision where you want to go, then persevere. I will pray God helps you toward that and keep the faith.

Marlee - I love your perpetual HI (oHIo)! It sounds as though the lights in your tunnel have all turned out to be oncoming trains.
But - You're still standing! "What doesn't kill us - makes us strong." You can get through this, whatever it is. I wish I could be of more help to you.

To all the Monkeys - I read here almost every day, but do not post much. My heart goes out to all who are facing problems and illness.

Also, I wanted to mention re. meeting with SunFreak at her doctor's ... she found a very cool gift for me. It's a monkey tea light holder. Looks a lot like the SM logo monkeys except both hands are busy holding the candle holder. (So I guess he's seeing, hearing, AND speaking evil!)
AND - she found some incense sticks called "Deepak"  Shocked .
These are things you would NEVER find if you were looking for them ...

Marlee... we all have those days where it feels like God is spitting on your head and calling it rain.... and eventually when you least expect it, the sun will shine again... I know .... I have been there... and I promise it does get better... just keep your faith... and I read a book by Beth Moore called when Godly People Do UnGodly Things that really helped me.... it isn't talking about that anyone does anything wrong... when circumstances are unbearable, so don't think it's like that... but it really helped me cope....

Prayers for all of you dear monkeys. It seems like everytime I check this thread there is more proof that God answers prayers and that miracles happen. I also read about so many who are still waiting for their prayers to be answered and for a miracle in their life. I have tried what nonesuche suggested re: saying things out loud (even when I didn't believe the things I was saying with my whole heart) and eventually it became commonplace to think and say those things (those things turned out to be prayers). And eventually those things started to come to fruition in my life. I know that He will always be there to hold my hand, and if need be, carry me, when I need Him to...Prayers and blessings for all of you who are in particular need right now.

While I'm here, I wanted to give you all an update on Clydean....I'm happy to report that she is doing much better. The doctors put in a trach and feeding tube last week, but she is now responding by blinking her eyes and squeezing your hand. She'll have surgery on both feet tomorrow, and the doctors also think that they may not have to do surgery on her heart, that it might heal itself. They're also hoping to take her halo off in next few days. It is truly a miracle. I’ve never seen anyone with injuries that severe before who lived to tell about it. I know she still has a long way to go, but the difference just in the last few days has been remarkable!

Thanks so much for your continued prayers.

Oh, Mrs. Red! ANYTHING by Beth Moore is Great! I love her books and studies! Marlee? I might also recommend "The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren, if you haven't read it.

My prayers continue for all needs listed here. I'm so touched by this place, and feel really priviledged to have the opportunity to have prayer for you wonderful people! Folks of faith are family and as a family we are doing God's will by supporting each other in prayer. No matter what is going on with any of us, THERE IS NO MORE POWERFUL PLACE IN THIS WORLD THAN IN HIS WILL!

God Bless!

My family is need of prayers. My cousin (aged 47) committed suicide this last Saturday night.  Her sister & mother have told us that they really don't know what drove her to this result and there was no suicide note. She's been dealing with Crohn's disease and diabetes for sometime and they seem to think it was her medical condition that might of played a role, just not really sure as they're trying to come to grasp with this whole thing.
I'm just not sure what to think, as my cousin has always been a fighter & never backing down from challenges.
Her husband a few weeks ago bought a gun for her (he drives truck and thought she needed protection while he was on the road). My cousin told her daughter I don't need any guns in this house, I can protect myself I'm not afraid.  The gun she used Saturday was this same one that her husband brought home had loaded, cocked & ready to go, with the safety on. (shaking my head) He was in the kitchen when this took place, after they had been out drinking that night.  There's just to many questions and no answers.
I've been praying & trying to come to terms with my cousins death and trying to make sense of this all. She was 6 yrs. older than me.  I grew up with her & her sisters and they were like my big sisters.
I'm sorry for typing so much and going on like this. If you can, please say a prayer for my family & I. Thank-You!!!      Crying or Very sad

Oh Roos, you and your family are in my prayers. Such a tragedy. It does make you wonder sice you said they had been drinking if she was also drinking and the alcahol gave her either the courage or dispair to do this. Or even if the alcahol changed her whole mindset. Again my prayers go out to you.

Yes, it is very difficult. My cousins son who is in his early 30's will be doing the service on Friday. I know it's gonna be really hard seeing that this is his mom. Him & his sister are just beside themselves. They both have spouses and children of their own as well.
Thank-You so very much for caring!  Smile

Roos - you and all your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.  Such a tragedy.  People who do this must have no idea of the grief and questions that they leave with their loved ones.  I cannot understand just what you are all going through right now.  Please accept my sympathy and know that you are cared about even though we live so far apart.  You are one of my monkey family.

Roos - I am so sorry to hear of this tragic loss.  It is so hard when suicide occurs, there are many what ifs or If I had only,or I should have.  You never know what someone is thinking or what is in their hearts.  You and your family are in my prayers for comfort and peace at this very difficult time.  May God wrap His loving arms around you.  I am so sorry.
