Dear Monkey Friends,

George passed yesterday afternoon.  It is a blessing.

For the first time in almost 26 years, I could stretch out his cramped and curled fingers . . . and I did.

Rest in Peace George

Thank you all for your kind words and prayers.

It seems so very odd not to have to think of George's care and safety.  There is an emptiness in my brain . . . but this void is to be cherished.

I've been thinking of you, Sister.  My sister's and I cared for our mother for almost a year before cancer took her from us.  In the end, we prayed that He would take her so the suffering would end.  I still cry every day, I miss her so much, this hole in my heart is different from others.  I've struggled with why my sweet mother had to suffer and endure the awful things cancer did, but I have to also see the blessing in it being God's way of helping us let her go.  We have peace in knowing that she knew how much each of us loved her, and were by her side every step of the way; and that we will see her again in Heaven.  Some of us live hours away, so a call in the night may have left us with the worry of things unsaid, or wishing we'd been able to show her one more time how much we loved her, or wondering if she really knew how much we loved and cherished her...

I'm so sorry for your losses, cadillac.  Prayers of peace and comfort for your family. an angelic monkey (((HUGS)))
Our stepdad of 40 years died suddenly two months after our mother's diagnosis, it was a very hard year but we made it through with faith and each other.  Some days are still harder than others...one day at a time.

I'm so sorry, Caddy.    I lost my Dad in 2004, and still to this day I come across something in a book or newspaper and I think "I should show this to Daddy", and I can't.  I'm not so sure I've ever said goodbye to him. For us, it was "later baby".     It's so sad you had the loss of two loved ones in a short time.  I hope time gentles the pain for you as it has for me.

Our dear NUT44x4 will be having surgery this Tuesday, October 6th to possibly replace her heart valve.  I know the surgery will go well and NUT will be asking to go home because frankly, hospitals suck, lol.

Please keep NUT in your prayers and wish her a speedy recovery.

Dear Nut.....You are now on the prayer list at my sister's religious community.  I told her your name....Nut 44x4.  She said that she and the nuns smiled and that she knows you will do really well.
