Hi Monkeys,

Please post your prayer requests as soon as possible.

I will be making my list Tuesday late afternoon as the prayer chain will start at midnight.

On the last prayer thread, I made a list that was a page long. Some of the monkeys on that list ... I haven't seen them online lately, so I don't know if they still need prayers. Can anyone tell me about these people - Patty CA, South Ga Girl, Magnolia, JuJu, KKial, Janfolkart, SSD's Cullen, Lakelady. Lexie, Lake Erie Princess, Starr, etc.

At least this time, we won't have to pray for Jackie's uncle Mike, the last prayer thread got him released.

I believe that Janfolkart is recovering from an injury right now...Mrs. Red, is that right?

Please pray for my mother, who has been in the hospital with a bad infection in here colon. They did a colonoscopy yesterday and things looked pretty good, but the infection persists.

Please pray for my father who is struggling every month to make ends meet for his family. He has a house full of kids and grandkids and has custody of one of his granddaughters (my niece), who has lots of major issues at her young 4 years. My dad is not in good health and does not take care of himself. I have been worried about him for a long time.

Please pray for my niece Jacqueline who is severely ADHD, has no impulse control, rebels against authority. Although, she has had a really hard life so far, she is such a loving and dear child.

Please pray for my sisters: one has major financial and work-related hardships as well as severe persisting migraine headaches. The other one is staying with us or would otherwise be homeless and can’t keep a job for longer than a couple of weeks. She doesn’t have custody of any of her children and recently gave birth to a stillborn.

Please pray for my pride and joy, my daughter, who God has blessed me with, who along with a relationship with Him, makes me happier than I’ve ever been in my life and has given me the will to live and grab hold of live with vigor and enthusiasm to embrace it, whatever comes my way. Please pray for her safety and health and happiness.

Please pray for Natalee’s family, especially in respect to these recent harsh blows they’ve had to endure. Please pray that the Lord continue to strengthen them in their faith and in their daily lives. Please give them the courage and strength to go on and keep her legacy alive.

Please be with our Nonesuche and her husband, their son and daughter. Please continue to give them strength to endure whatever His will is for them. I pray for a miracle for this special family, and thank Him for the miracles they have already received as a result of His love.

Please pray for the health of many here: Anna, Tylergal, Easywriter, Janfolkart’s recent injury, San and her arm, AZSunny and her procedure, Peaches and her continued recovery (She is an inspiration to us all), Yapperz husband, Angie’s husband, Snoopy’s sister with cancer, and all the other monkeys and their families that I have not included…

Please pray for LouiseVargas to one day have a relationship with her daughter and her 2 grandsons and to continue in her quest to find happiness if this is not His will.

Please pray for Lalas and her family in their financial situation and all of the hardships that they have recently experienced since her dear father’s recent passing.

Please pray for my friend Joanie and her family, who recently lost her 97 year old grandmother who was so amazing that she still lived by herself and was a very strong and vibrant woman. She passed in her sleep with no real inkling that anything was wrong with her.

Please pray for Uncle Mike, that adjustment back into life is a comfortable one. Please take away all of the horrors he experienced while he was held captive.

Please pray for my friend Mark, who is in fear of losing his job, who is doing the best he can and it’s still not good enough for his boss. Her constant belittling of him has alienated him from most of his coworkers who dare not go against their boss. Mark is unable to function properly at work now because he is under so much pressure not to mess up!

Please be with my friend Bret, who recently lost his niece in her battle with manic depression, then 3 weeks after that lost the cat that was his constant companion for 11 years….Please pray that his heart be filled up with the Spirit of the Lord.

And finally…
Please pray for the unbelievers out there, all the sick and suffering, and all alcoholics and addicts, of which there are many, who unbeknownst to them, are closing themselves off from the light, peace, and salvation that only He can offer.

Louise, thank you so much for remembering -
Quote
SSD's Cullen
.

Last night I was going to write about him but after writing a note to None, my husband needed the computer, and I was not able to do so.

Actually, today - right now - he is undergoing an 8-hour surgery.  He had a 6-hour surgery last Tuesday, and then another today.  He has spinabifida, and the surgeries are to place a rod down his back and take care of other issues.

His surgery last week went well although he lost a great deal of blood.  I have not heard yet today, although we were told at school that the surgery began at 2:00 rather than the 11:00 scheduled time.

So, yes, please put him on the prayer list, and I will be so grateful to anyone who prays for him.  He's 7 years old and was my student last year.  I have sent things to him this past week and plan to go see him as soon as possible.  I have told him that many people are praying for him.

God bless all of you and your requests,
SSD

Dear Monkey Friends ~ I've started this many times in the last few days.
I feel guilty asking for your prayers with the burdens so many of you are carrying.
Ten months ago, my husband's group was dissolved (with a high-tech company) ~ it took him 3 months to find another job ~ one month ago today when our son had just received his acceptance to law school, my husband walked in to announce that the ad agency he started working for in January had downsized by 35%.

He just looked at us and broke down. He is 55 years old. There is nothing on the horizon. I start back to teaching next week, and I am scared to leave him at home. He *is* making contacts and talking with people, but this go-round has taken its toll. He has admitted he is deeply depressed.

I'm so sorry to unload on you all ~ he doesn't want his parents or mine to worry about this, so there's no one to hear how worried I am about him.

Please keep him in your prayers. I love him.

NOTE: At the end of this thread, before the prayer chain takes place, I will make a list of all the needed prayers and post it here.
**************

Please pray for my friend Greg Jones, who is has been going back and forth from UCLA Westwood hospital for months due to his mysterious condition - hypersensitive vasculitis. The doctors have no clue and they are trying everything.

Please pray for the family of my friend LoLo's shrink, Sallye, who committed suicide over the weekend.

Please pray for clarity of mind for my daughter and her family.

Please pray for Israel, as well as Lebanon, Iraq and Iran. Also for Hezbollah and all extremist entities who want to take over the world.

Pray for peace in the world.

IMAGINE
Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

I love these verses.......thanks, Louise.

Hi my beloved Monkeys,
I just found out that one of my dearest and closest friends has a brain tumor. I'm not even in shock yet.

Tidy, I remembered all our monkeys in need and I specifically remembered your request as that is the most dire of all needs.  I have a son who although he accompanies his wife and baby to church, I am afraid does not share her beliefs.  Her mother and I pray about that a lot, so I understand your request.

AZSunny is having surgery on her leg today.  Pray that the procedure is a success and she recovers quickly.

Keep my family in your prayers, regarding the care and wellbeing of our Dad, who has early signs of dementia.

Tcumom, we went through a similar situation in '95.  Husband lost Director position with a company he'd been with for 26 years.  He also was depressed.  He saw a psychologist and took meds for a while.  Not saying that this is what your husband should do, but there is hope.  My husband has had 4 jobs since then, two he left on his own, one he could no longer do because of physical requirements and now has been on current job for a year.  He chose blue collar positions the last 3 because he didn't have the heart left for what he had been doing.

I will keep all of you in my prayers.

I've added prayer candles for these additional prayers, please know the candle room for SM now has 130 candles and it's inspirational to see how many have participated in that as well.

I may continue to keep the candle room there for SM, if that's something others might like to see us do? I just have to renew it every 48 hours.

Thank you for sharing your hearts and prayers with our family also, we so appreciate each and every one.

Tyler, thank you.  There are so many here who have such urgent matters going on in their lives and the lives of their families and friends, and I hesitated to state my intention.  However, we can pray for one and pray for all at the same time, and this is one thing close to my heart for now.

Tyler, I just finished reading Mere Christianity by C. S. Lewis.  I had never read anything by him, but saw it mentioned in a recent Time Magazine article about a scientist who converted to Christianity, primarily after reading that book...so I bought it.  I can see why it is so powerful.  If you have read it, you know.   Lewis presented an argument from reason for Christianity in such a clear and simple way.  Just the facts, ma'am.  Maybe you could leave the book at your son's home?   Right now, my son would not even consider reading it.

Last week my husbands cousin had a brain tumor removed.  He had two removed 6 years ago.  They just found out this morning, that even though they got most of his tumor, it is one of the most aggressive forms of cancer.  He was admitted into the hospital for chemo this morning.  Please keep him and his family in your prayers.  His name is Aaron and he's only 34.  Crying or Very sad
