donnakaren   prayers for your grandsons girlfirend and her family.  How horrible.  And prayers for Ayers too.  You and Sue travel safely and have a good time.  Lift up your head redemption draweth nigh.  How beautiful Heaven must be. Someday I'm gonna have a family reunion that only Heaven can bring.

MSE   prayers for your dad and for you.  I'm glad he's gonna be with you.  It is a tough job as I took care of my mama for 5 1/2 years in my home.  You'll make it.  Be strong.  Accept all the help you can, and learn to laugh a lot.

Destiny you're in my prayers.  You're a special lady.

God Bless you all.

My dad is now in the Hospital he fell again and has a UTI . I never even got to take him home, just out from the nursing rehab straight to the hospital...
He looked bad today, couldn't really open his eyes but knew I was there.

MSE -- I am so sorry all of these things are going on.  My father passed away last year and not a day goes by that I do not think of him and miss him.  He could not walk for the last 18 months of his life and was exhibiting some dementia-like behaviors.  I will pray for you to have peace, knowing that your dad is getting the best of care, and for God to wrap his arms around you.

MSE ~  I'm sorry to hear your Dad has had another serious setback.  I know you were preparing to bring him home.  MSE-You say your Dad has fallen again?  this is extremely serious.  Whomever is overseeing his care are negligent.  I am saying this because I went through the same thing with my Dad.  He was left in the bathroom and when he went to get up, he fell and injured his shoulder.  They didn't take him until the next day to x-ray his shoulder, at which time he was left unattended (AGAIN) and fell from sitting so long on the x-ray table.  I went to my parents and my siblings and we arranged to have him transferred to another hospital.  I also found the first time Dad fell was not reported, which is against the rules.  Falls are supposed to be reported.  My parents were afraid to report his poor treatment because they were afraid the hospital or nurses would somehow retaliate.  I think it was hard for my parents because they were elderly, on medicare and thought if they complained it would be worse for them.     I hope your Dad gets better MSE.  And if you are able, see if you can get some help in finding why your Dad fell those times and what can be done to prevent it in the future.  My Dad was a dialysis patient, and one nurse told my mom she was prolonging his misery by continuing.  After we moved him from that hospital to a smaller one, he got more attention, started PT, got stronger and lived 2 1/2 more years, that we wouldn't trade for anything.  Not saying this is the case for your Dad MSE, but sometimes doctors and hospitals don't always know best.  Sorry for this rant, ya'll, but my Dad died 4 years ago and I miss him so much.

I received the sad news today that Hotping's Papa passed away on the 14th.  Please remember her and her family in your prayers.

I reported the treatment and took him to the hospital.
He was dehydrated on top of a UTI and another infection called cdiff which is very contagious.  He mental state has improved some but he does have dementia which has progressed.  My heart breaks but I will not be able to bring him home at this time he still needs rehab because he can not walk and his infection  He could still improve once he has the rehab and the infection clears that is what I am hoping for.  He is going into a place the deals specifically with patients with dementia and I toured the place today and I liked it much better than the previous place he was in.
You are correct the doctors are not always right, in May I signed a DNR because the doctors thought he would pass, I changed my mind a few hours later and he pulled through.  I know what you mean about not trading your time.  I lived in NY and my dad in Florida, if my job didn't move to China I would have not been able to spend the last couple of year with him before he got sick.  Everything happens for a reason, and I believe that is why I moved down to FL to be here for my dad...God knew he would need me.
You didn't rant, and you are helping a fellow monkey with your experience.  Thank you.

Prayers for MSE's dad....I went through this a year or so ago with our beloved Dad....hope your Dad heals from his injury and you have him with you for as long as you can possibly have him.

Hotping, sending hugs and wishes that your Dad's smile stays in your heart for as long as you live.  I am sorry for your loss and know what it feels like...not that that makes it easier for you.

Prayers for all our monkeys, especially in times of need....(wish I was more eloquent like some of our other members....)

Hotping
Such a great loss and an empty space in your heart.  It feels as if someone just ripped part of your soul and had the gall to fling it into space without asking you.  But guess what?  That part of your heart is now a beautiful shining spirit in Heaven with God and angels rejoicing.  Your Papa loves you and that will never...ever...ever change as long as you share him with the world and pass his love down through the ages.

God bless you and your family.  Papa is near....just listen with your heart.

All of You Monkeys are so Kind.....I'm sitting here reading all of Your posts with tears streaming down My face.....I had told My Papa about all of You praying for Him and He was Very Thankful.....I have to tell You All that My Papa passed with Dignity and Peace....and that He knew the Angels were coming for Him......When the Reverend came to pray with Us not long before His demise....Papa winked at the Preacher and smiled........Thank You All Very Much for All of Your Thoughtfulness and Prayers.

Sincerely
