Klaas

I pray for Aaron.

For his strength while undergoing the treatments.

For his ability to maintain a strong positive attitude as it is my belief that that is what he has control over.

I also think a few of terryd's stories might help.

Ah dear LEP -

It is so good to see you.  I've been thinking about you alot.  I remember how vivacious you were when you first came to the board.. then when your mom got sick you were so worried.. then you obviously had little time to join in.  But you've never been out of our thoughts and prayers.  Welcome back. I am so very very sorry for your loss.

Please add Pearson to the prayer list.  He is a 6 yr. old little boy who has been battling leukemia for a little over a year.  This type of leukemia does not respond to bone marrow transplants and he has had to undergo chemo and transfusions.  His blood count is the lowest it can be right now and he desperately needs prayers.  Please remember him, his mom and his brother..They are at a tough place right now and need all the prayers we can give.   Thanks

Louise, how is your friend's son?  How did the surgery go?  Thinking of you and wanting to know that all is okay.

Everyone also please pray for 2N's sister, she's quite ill and the prognosis is not very promising, and she recently remarried as well.

Please keep her in your prayers for healing, and her husband and children in our prayers as well.

May I please have prayers for a homeless man named Homer.

He is a young black man of slight build who lives most of the time on a bus bench in front of the gas station where I get my gas. Franklin and Argyle. He looks respectable at first. He appears to be clean and his clothes are clean and he keeps his stuff in a small suitcase on rollers. He lives there spring, summer, fall and winter. But not in the rain.

I've passed him hundreds of times during the past few years. I have much sympathy for the homeless and don't understand why it took me a long time to realize he is not waiting for a bus. Sometimes his head is tilted onto his suitcase on the bench and he is sleeping. Other times he talks to himself. Sometimes he stands up and motions his hands like he's talking to someone.

It is highly unusual for a homeless guy of his small stature and vulnerability to exist for so long with all his possessions. When I come home late at night, he is not on the bus bench, so he found a safe place to spend the nights. I suspect it's 1/2 block south in a freeway underpass.

The last time I got gas, he was at the bench standing up and I went over to talk to him. I said, "Hi, how are you doing?" He responded to me but I could only understand a word here and there. I asked him his name. With clarity he said Homer. Then more gibberish. I caught the word God and I told him I was going to generate prayers for his well being because I knew a group of people (Monkeys) who would pray for him. Then the gas line clicked that my tank was full and I said goodbye. He kept on talking.

I'm always questioning and thinking about what motivates people to live in spite of bad luck, illness, obstacles, disappointments, losses, etc. Homer has a will to live. Maybe he can deal with his being homeless because he lost his mind and went into another reality. Maybe he HAD to do that.

Please pray with me for Homer. Thank you.

Snoopy posted that her sister's battle with cancer has escalated, she's now experiencing renal failure and the cancer has spread to her hip area.

So please remember her sister, her family, and Snoopy in your prayers. Snoopy is always so kind and supportive to us all, I think our prayers would be a comfort now as they were to our family.
