With free agency the Tribe has had to let some great players go..Manny Ramirez and Jim Thome to name just two. They cannot compete, money wise, to keep these type players when their contracts are up. We have a lot of our team signed through 2010 which keeps our youngsters here until then. But I'm sure if they live up to their potential after that we will be rebuilding...again! When a team like the Yankees lose a player they can afford to go after the best available. This is one reason they've been in the playoffs for 12 years straight.

I believe the dynasty thing has to be addressed by MLB. Ratings for the NLCS were terrible and the World Series the second worst ever! They were saved by the Sox-Indians series due to huge audiences in New England and everyone in northern Ohio watching the games. It's hitting MLB where it hurts..in the pocket!

I'll be good here and root for the Yankees. Especially since the D-backs got that World Series from them in 2001. Plus a few of my staff are from NY and Yankee fans all the way! Besides you can't cheer by your self in this thread.
