I am sitting next to Beth in the airport in Aruba.  We are reading the blog comments and I turned to her and said, “how do you spell Natalee?”  (I asked her this after many of you whacked me in your comments because I did not spell it correctly….”) She politely corrected me and said that all of you are right.  Ok…cut me some slack….tell me you have never done stupid things?  (She also told me that Natalee always complained about how her name was spelled since all the name tags for all products are spelled Natalie and not Natalee….so you get some more behind the scenes..)

Incidentally..here is a pic from the lighthouse area of Aruba taken about three hours ago:

Well, I made my phone call, talked with my friend...he sounds a little shook up...said we could talk about nutrural things on the phone, but he said that something strange is going on between the phone co. and the place he works, and he is afraid to say something that will jeopardize his job there.

We are trying to work out a situation where we can talk without him being concerned about what I ask and what he says....sorry

He did give the impression to me, that there is a an air of paranoia on Aruba in general at this time...he kept saying *we never know who is listening from the phone co.* regarding where he works.

Now...question from me...is the phone co. owned by the Aruban govt.?

....also, should I give him my phone#  I don't know how I feel about that.

I bet they are monitoring any calls that are coming in and out of the place where he works.  After Beth and Greta's arrival I bet they are paranoid.  I thought Nelson Odubor had an interest in Aruba's telephone company.
