I don't think so, maybe he didn't know.  I think all he said was Lorenzo was released.  Interresting that per MF it was due to an error by the prosecutor.

Here is Destiny's post regarding Lorenzo being released. Prosecuters mistake or a decision made from someone higher up?? A private mediation from a Judge from Holland? 


He said "Yes I remember you called about Lorenzo, so that topic is what we talked about for awhile.  I brought up again the trial status of Lorenzo again, he said that Lorenzo would not have a trial.  He tried to explain the Aruban Justice System to me....he really likes to talk, He said that Lorenzo had a private mediation with a Judge from Holland, and that the only way that Lorenzo would be brought back in for trial is that after 60 days from his release on July 25th, if a Jury requested a trial, that then Lorenzo would be brought back in to be seen by a panel of 3 Judges to determine if that should happen.  But, he also said"THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN"  and that Lorenzo had been released on time already served...18 days was the time he mentioned...so it seems that Lorenzo is scott free on the drug bust.

It appears that crime stats and tourism have a direct link. The best way to report low stats is to not prosecute or at least severely control it. That would explain why the tourism industry is directly involved in anything that could damage visitor numbers. This seems to be a problem way before the Holloway case. Example would be reporting only one murder a year. Ten to twenty mystery deaths, with an average prosecution of ONE. Drug problems none, with zero prosecutions. Really, if tourism was tenth in revenue generation, they would have to build a tent city just to keep up with those behind the barbwire.

Maybe we should start putting crimes that aren't prosecuted, suicides, etc. (all the things we know are going on in the hellhole) on the crimes thread as suspicious.  That way people will be able to see what goes on as a whole, not just the prosecuted crimes.  Or is all that in there already?

I read the post from the Freebirds/ Vacuuming :Deepak vacuumed the car according to him the Sunday before going to C & C's as there were ants in the car and they might have girls in the car.
He says again that he vacuumed the car on Tuesday as there was sand in the car from a beach party he had been to previously and Joran had come into the car with sand on his shoes.
We had a good laff over that one as if he vacuumed the ants out, did he use the
" ant " attachment ? Why did he feel the need to vacuum only the ants on Sunday and the sand from prior to Sunday on the Tuesday ?

It is important to note that there is no other mention of Deepak vacuuming on a Tuesday (at least nothing that we have ever come across), and that the sand story simply morphed into the ant story - there were no two different vacuuming times stated by Deepak.  The sand from the beach party that Kat Gram references is the same thing we pointed out in our Face of Evil part 1.

I ate something at home together with my brother Satish and after that I vacuumed the carpet on the inside of my car. (with Satish is meant the suspect S.S. KALPOE; comment reporting officers). My sister Angie was already asleep. My mother was not home, she was working. The man with whom my mother is married, was also at work. Beth doesn't even mention Lorenzo in her book.  She does have a few pages devoted even to Vadir von Loon but nothing about Lorenzo and yet there has been little else discussed here even since her book came out.

There has never been anything but rumor (which Aruba girl said was not true) that Lorenzo was related to the vdSloots and nothing to connect him to Natalee's disappearance.  Remember pornography is legal in Aruba and so naturally there are going to be those associated who will take advantage of that legal status.  

What I don't understand is the lack of any discussion not related to Lorenzo even in light of Beth's book coming out and any news happening.  He was drug into the fray around the time Vadir was and yet no one discusses Vadir, etc. even though Beth does mention Vadir and not Lorenzo.

I was hoping the release of Beth's book might spark some interest in something other than Lorenzo for a change but guess not.  I don't understand the obsession with Lorenzo and don't find him nearly as interesting as some and also seriously doubt his connections with Natalee's disappearance.

But I have come to accept that this is all that will be discussed here no matter what so carry on.  Just stating for the record that there is no known connection and Lorenzo is not mentioned even once by Beth in her book as she does not seem to share the fascination.

But those of us that don't care for the days on end of Lorenzo are free to post elsewhere, etc. I do realize.  Just curious as to why the constant fascination and daily discussion of someone who would at the very most be a peripheral character.

Anna - the Club Arias post above doesn't even mention Lorenzo.  The point is the possibility of the "pimps" making a porn video and that type of influence in Aruba.  Mr. Pink, Chuck Di Perri and possibly Freddy.
