I just heard on HLN that a blue barrel was also found about 1 mile from the body/remains.

You can be sure they are rushing this DNA test.  Wasn't Peterson scheduled to be in court this morning to reduce bail?  Of course it pertains to Savio but I'm sure if this body turns out to be Stacy it could change things.

It is remotely possible to make an ID from autopsy if either of the two women had previous injuries that would show in skeletal remains such as previous fractures of bones, etc.

Otherwise without dental records, we will have to wait for the DNA results.  I would think there are labs that can do those in Chicago in a rush then send to State lab for back ups?

I hope the judge just takes the motion to reduce bail under advisement until the ID of these remains are known.  He can say he is thinking about it and stall until the results are know for certain.

But I am watching for any definitive word on this.  Yes, it could be a totally unknown party but at least some family will get closure.  Makes me queasy to think how many missing people are out there whose remains one can just wander upon while hiking, fishing, hunting, etc.

So we wait. . . . . . . . . .

Good Afteroon Klaas.... So if legs and torso found, that pretty well says that she could have been contained, as the length that she has been missing and in the water, body would not have been intact.

Correct.  Plus the fact a blue barrel was recently spotted downstream making it possible that something popped the lid open and the remains found their way out.  The barrel continued downstream and the body found it's way to shore or was blocked by debris.

I pray this is Stacy..her family needs closure.  I know the State would have her DNA nad her sister also has submitted her own DNA prior to this.  It seems very much like this could be her.

Has Pam Bosco made any other statements since last night ?

I believe the  link  that you have provided is the one that has the video showing the pic that the lady found it is on.

BLUE BARREL - WOW...but this woman had to phone two times to report seeing the barrel, before they went out and retrieved it.  She made the initial phone call and then when it was still there, phoned again.

I hope they have been recording Drew's reaction to the remains of someone being found, like they did with Casey Anthony.

My father has been gone for 13 years but ... I am able to hear his words loud and clear ... "I bet Drew is at this moment is laughing on the other side of his face."

I am so thankful that the family will be afforded a measure of closure while the justice process can take its course.

Blue Barrel Found Near
Body
Updated: Thursday, 21 May 2009, 7:15 AM CDT

What makes the discovery of a body in the Des Plaines River in Will County more fascinating is that it was discovered only a mile away from a blue barrel along in the water. Is there a Peterson link? We spoke with the woman who found the barrel.

If this indeed does turn out to be Stacey ~  Drew's children have supported their father and claimed he was with them, and is not guilty.

Wonder how this will effect their impression of their....not-guilty dad.  I am sure they were brainwashed by Drew.

Well, it is up to them if they would want to enter their adult life, knowing that their dad was indeed guilty and he took their mother's life.  Where would their underlying love for their mother be??
