After reading for over two years, I keep in mind that Aruba seems to have a lot of "special laws" that are hard to find.  'Case law' seems to pop up on occasion, and I've read that PVDS is considered by some, to have some special expertise in this area as well.  Not sure how accurate that is, but case law may be where it's at.  No idea how case law figures in the Dutch/Aruban system, but I would think its another "apples to oranges" comparison with the US.  Just my two cents, FWIW.

No question PVDS is very book smart on Dutch Law and even taught classes and Rudy Croes daughter. However he failed miserably outside of that as a Judge in training and a Lawyer for the Govt and is not as smart as he thinks he is. Not only that but it appears his spoiled temper tantrum rapists son got sloppy. Hopefully the "stupid aruban cops" as he called them and the boys and girls who were partying in his back yard get the last laugh.

2 more news items I just saw.

The neighbors of Joran in Arnhem are glad to see the back of him, so they say to RTL news anonymously, nobody wanted to tell their story on camera but one neighbor said:

"we only have peace and quiet when Joran is on Aruba".

Neighbors complain of intimidation by Joran, loud music, constant smell of cannabis from the house and Joran supposedly dumped garden waste over a woman.


Another story said that the Aruban DA and police are keeping their mouths closed tightly, the only thing he found out that supposedly Joran's dutch home was also searched (as I have said before, Dutch police don't let things like that out to the media, just like the interrogations on Aruba in the past few weeks) and that a source said that the evidence was found by Aruban and Dutch police in the Netherlands which could suggest something was found in Joran's house in Arnhem but hopefully something more will be known tomorrow.

Some criminals like to keep trophies.   The trophies give the perpetrator the sense of power, in that they have something and the authorities haven't found it.   It gives them a feeling of power in that they know something and the authorities don't.  Make them feel smarter.   I wonder if Joran kept something of Natalee's as a trophy?    Could it be that Joran had something that belonged to Natalee and they found it in his Netherlands house?

Yes it actually does..He thought he was invincible and thought it was over. Maybee he got sloppy from his chronic nederland weed and thinking he was invincible? Getting away with murder wasn't enough for him as he never learned his lesson from 30 months ago and he never changed. No question his parents are to blame as well. WHat kind of Father gives his son a porn dvd when he is just released from prison and still a suspect for drugging,raping and murdering someone?

i have always hoped that one day this pervert would say the right thing to the wrong person....and that day may have come....his father is as sick as he is.....i know in my heart they will both burn in hell for eternity....I just wish i could light the match that starts the burn

I doubt that Sarah..PVDS probably made sure there was nothing left to keep a trophy of. We know Joran payed someone to manufacture that photoshop pic of him and Natalee. I think that was his trophy. Unless somehow there was a picture or video that someone sent him of Natalee..He does seem like the type to keep a "Trophy" but I cant imagine him having any of Natalee's belongings.

Maybee he just got careless electronically or on the phone? You would be amazed at what they can retrieve from your hard drive if you don't professionally erase the HD.

That's a very good possibility about the computer harddrive.     I just want to see justice and I hope whatever they found is rock solid.

I wonder if they think he was on the beach to catch/launch the boat there to take Natalie out to sea, and he took off his shoes and forgot them?  Why else would they be asking her about his shoes on the beach?

Just a few thoughts ~

He left them not thinking he would not be returning to the same beach/place to claim them.  He may have left them elsewhere, arrived on the beach barefoot, and walked away from the beach barefoot.

He did not wear the shoes in question to the beach, therefore nothing was left behind.

If a boat was launched from the beach, could he have thrown them in the boat and left them elsewhere?

Was he seen by someone later wearing the shoes in question...perhaps someone at school?  The tennis club?  Did anyone take an inventory of his shoes?
