for the simple fact of human nature Idea

everyone knows that the 3 punks lied like rugs, ALE was and is corrupt, and the case was a simple one.

ALE just let them keep changing stories they never put any teeth into the case

if the FBI or any other police dept were to come up with the same results that ALE
came back with -- people in this country would revolt

ALE Sucks

the Dutch Team knows it and now the DUTCH team are also gonna shove it down ALE
throat

this is also a good thing

Hello Monkeys!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Does anyone remember when Dompig was on TV.. and said that the Aruban LE had great equipment to monitor, see all boats coming in and out of Aruba, but "unfortunately" one night it didn't work?

Could he have been covering up info important in the case so they wouldn't let the Perps know they are "on to something" (my words) or could the equipment go out as part of a coverup or files erased?

I can't remember the date the equipment went down but wondered how it fits into the time line that we now know?

It may be time for the fleas to jump off the dog.

After reading for over two years, I keep in mind that Aruba seems to have a lot of "special laws" that are hard to find.  'Case law' seems to pop up on occasion, and I've read that PVDS is considered by some, to have some special expertise in this area as well.  Not sure how accurate that is, but case law may be where it's at.  No idea how case law figures in the Dutch/Aruban system, but I would think its another "apples to oranges" comparison with the US.  Just my two cents, FWIW.

No question PVDS is very book smart on Dutch Law and even taught classes and Rudy Croes daughter. However he failed miserably outside of that as a Judge in training and a Lawyer for the Govt and is not as smart as he thinks he is. Not only that but it appears his spoiled temper tantrum rapists son got sloppy. Hopefully the "stupid aruban cops" as he called them and the boys and girls who were partying in his back yard get the last laugh.

I have often wondered if there was a link in March of 2005 with PVDS being set aside from the judge in training program, and any potential problems his son (or circle of friends) may have had with the law.

So much has been repeated in some circles about Dutch judges never being convicted of fraud, corruption, or even a parking ticket...

Is this how the group polices their ranks?  In order to be charged with a crime, I imagine someone would need to be investigated.  If there is no investigation, would there ever be charges?  Do Dutch/Aruban judges oversee investigations?

PS... great to see Dutchlady post on SM FP. Wish she'd say hello again here. Too bad she wasn't included in the investigation (or maybe was).. I think, IMO, she is one smart lady! If I were the Dutch FBI, I'd have plants all over the bars/classes these guys were in.

Still on P. 25 of reading.. board going so fast will have to open up another browser window.

It will be interesting to see how far these latest arrests get.  Are they arrests for information gathering?  Does anyone think the suspects will talk?

What would happen to the suspects if they refused to speak at this point in time?  Anything?

Or, are they arrests in anticipation of formal charges being placed?

I wonder if any of the 3 will be offered a deal.  I read somewhere, someone suggested it was within the Dutch/Aruban rules to offer a suspect a deal like "The first one who speaks gets only 2 years, the others..."

How far up the rank and file were changes made over the past two years?  Do the ministers (the Ben Kings of Aruba) have 'go or no go' oversight over any charges?

Is it possible that someone could derail the train of justice?

 Shocked  Thought about those.

Why would a person get rid of their sneakers?   Could it be they were covered with something?     Is it possible they were not left accidently, at all, but rather destroyed intentionally?

Happy Birthday to all those Great Monkeys that I missed to say "Happy Birthday" to.

(Any grammar teacher here is not happy with the above sentence)

Everywhere I went today, I had neighbors, friends, acquaintances who have overheard me talk about Natalee and Scared Monkeys for over 2 yrs, say to me "I bet you are happy today about the news in Aruba (or with Natalee)"

Having all this news on breaks even between football games have gone to many who are having new "heads up" on the case and Aruba.

If this is another false time with Aruba, it will hit tourism even more

Gee, just another update on Fox.. seems like every 20 mins. Our American Legion Clubhouse (aka bar) has football games and Fox on. When no sports are on like on some weekdays, they have Fox on.

Think I will wear my last year's SM sweatshirt tomorrow, if I venture out.

Happy days.

there are only 2 possibilities

1.   the dutch have gone to all this trouble of arresting and flying suspects back and eventually looking like fools because they have nothing

2. they got em

ummmmmmmmmmm. im going with option # 2  Cool

WhiskeyGirl, I am holding off my judgement with this new arrest.  I am not totally convinced just because of all the antics in the past by Aruba.

I do not believe one of the three suspects will talk.  If someone has talked it was someone else.
