the sneakers are key to this whole mess

 Cool

 Shocked  Thought about those.

Why would a person get rid of their sneakers?   Could it be they were covered with something?     Is it possible they were not left accidently, at all, but rather destroyed intentionally?

sneakers that have been used in a murder with victims blood on them are never a good idea to keep

remember the BS story about Natalee falling and slipping out of the car.....
it was all BS  LOADS of BS

that story was pushed out by K2 and joran just in case they had to explain blood

they would say "ohhhhhhh her blood is on the car because she fell"

ALL LIES
ALL BS

I have often wondered if there was a link in March of 2005 with PVDS being set aside from the judge in training program, and any potential problems his son (or circle of friends) may have had with the law.

So much has been repeated in some circles about Dutch judges never being convicted of fraud, corruption, or even a parking ticket...

Is this how the group polices their ranks?  In order to be charged with a crime, I imagine someone would need to be investigated.  If there is no investigation, would there ever be charges?  Do Dutch/Aruban judges oversee investigations?

I doubt that..They swept Jorans previous crimes under the rug pretty well. At least one of the girls came FWD to the ALE about Joran drugging and assualting her but nothing was ever done. Not sure about her two classmates. He killed his own dog and threatened people but nothing was ever done. Instead of being punished for his crimes I think Joran's parents opted for a psychiatrist instead. From what I have read and heard from PVDS own mouth is he failed as a judge in training.

We know if Joran was ever investigated before I am sure his God Father Jan VDS and PVDS made sure it never went very far. The Aruban/Dutch Judges hold a tremendous amount of power and ultimately decide most everything like if will go to trial and grant search warrants..etc. But they do not oversee the Investigations. If there is no Investigation then there can't be any charges.

Speaking with a lot of "if's" here...

What if he left them in the ocean?  Are contained with some evidence?  Could TES just search the bottom for the outline of a gym shoe?  How much of a big gym shoe would be left after two plus years?  What is the effect of ocean water on man made material like a gym shoe?

I have to wonder if there is a stash of evidence somewhere.  If J2K were not linked to NH disappearance, could they have tried to remove any evidence that would have connected them to her?  Just to prevent a media circus?  Just to distance themselves?

Would having a son linked to a missing girl be good for anyone's career?  Would it be harder to find a job if everyone knew your family name on a small island?  Would it be better to try and keep your name out of the media spot light?

Pretend the son didn't know who the missing girl was?

Would you scoop up your son's clothing and shoes from that night and dispose of it in the ocean?  Would you try and prevent your son from being recognized by his clothing and gym shoes?

Would anyone have been better off if JVDS name had stayed out of the media?  Would anyone have been better off if JVDS name was in the news media that Monday morning?

Could a search vessel, with some modern miracle equipment, pick up the outline or image of a gym shoe at the bottom of the ocean?

The rock fountain in the background has always raised my interest. I have tried to place this location in pictures we have (aerial) of the pool... Is this corner at the corner of Joran's apt. by the tool shed or is it some part of the house... I didn't think the house was that close to the pool, but Joran's apt. is.

Didn't we hear info. that the cement man said that PvdS would let him lay down all the cement?

And at one time someone said Paulus had dirt under his fingernails the next day and he said he was working in the garden?

Aerial pictures would be very helpful in watching the pool cement being put in and the furniture truck. Just thinking

Thanks.

Happy Thanksgiving all! Hopefully someone will also put the page number from Jorans book about the faked drug test last time in jail, in tomorrows briefing to the judge. Especially since it was a point of contention for his release last time, being one of the only prisoners to pass the drug screening.

He's wearing his plaid shirt while detained.

Are these the shoes he was wearing that night as well?

Could the KLPD have taken these shoes and found trace DNA of Natalee on them?

Good night all!  I hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving Day.   I'm in the middle of painting my livingroom, diningroom and hallways.  So I'll be painting again tomorrow and checking in to see if there is news.

I don't think they could find sneakers in the ocean UNLESS they were in the same cage they used to dump the body. The sneakers were a big "player" in this whole mess from the beginning. I am not sure of the tie-in -- but they DO have some big clue with them. (Everyone feels the need to explain them away for some reason).

I think TES/Dave are absolutely certain where Natalee is. I also believe the Dutch have confirmed this as well and thus the new arrests. Whatever this "evidence" is -- it's SOLID! (I tend to agree with Klass that some type of satellite imagery or the like is what is fueling this. I also think Dave has had a witness/informer tell him this info and it is just NOW verified by the Dutch/FBI.) We'll see!!

San..We're both thinking alike on why they bought Val in again. Wonder about his phone too. Never crossed my mind until today that it could have been broken that night.

Was it Val's space on the Internet that had the riddle/or song about Natalee being in the bath tub... (rest to gross for Thanksgiving) but it also included a statement others were around.

Perhaps that is why he was brought in?

Wouldn't investigators wish to know exactly why Anita knew so many facts about Natalee's underwear?

Still reading about page 27

I think they were brand new and had blue on them or maybee blue stripes. We see him on the security camera walking into the casino..Were those the clothes he wore? The blue shorts?

good thinking

Joran's HOBBY is criminal law.  So, did he figure wearing the clothing he wore the night with Natalee to jail would guarantee that it wouldn't be checked for evidence?  Were his shoes hidden until after he was released?  In Joran's sick mind, could he have been wearing THE shoes when he did Greta's interview?  Remember the smirk on his face when Greta asked him if those were THE shoes?
