Reportedly Paulus is concerned that the pressure will cause Joran to confess to something he did not do.

h/t Ramm

Full post by Ramm at BFN:

there aren't any gag orders, people are theorizing mostly based on what little the DA's office lets out. They have indicated that Joran's questioning will take days at least. Joran van der Sloot's father meanwhile has said off camera to RTL's Eric Mouthaan that he fears his son will crack under the questioning and confess to it even though he is innocent. Now that is bullsh.t of course because there has to be additional evidence for any judge to convict and that will have to come from that he tells the police (for example, where his shoes are etc. or perhaps even where her body is).

Hi to All,  I always lurked here to read when the case was active before, and thought of joining but never did.  Now I look forward to pitching in with all you great Sleuthers to the finish of the case and the solving of it, to where there will be justice for Natalee.

Thank God for the new evidence, a great strategy and new intelligent focus on the case.  Bring it on!

An honest confession would most likely produce some type of credible backup evidence.

However ... I suspect Paulus is well aware that that a confession from Joran would be a collaborated lie ... a lie the would shift some or all blame to Natalee for her own demise and ... only hold Joran accountable for the disposal of her body.

Hi Klaasend,  Yes, I have been a member there for many years.  It will always be my home forum, but have learned that when I really study an ongoing case I also want to belong to a board that is devoted to that case.  LOL  I almost feel like I know you and many of the members here and look forward to being a member.

I've always enjoyed reading your posts at Websleuths. I've been a member there for years myself but rarely post.  I joined Websleuths back in March 2005 with the Lunsford case.

Yikes!  I wonder how all these people that supported these killers feel today?  Are they still doing the collection for Joe for his attorney fee's??  I just can't believe that such a simple case is still in limbo, this isn't that complicated and thats why we keep looking at each other and saying noway.. I just hope the train has ended for these three and hopefully a lot more that was involved..

Yep, Mishy. Lame. It's also a glimpse into the fears of Paulus. I'd say he is terrified that Joran will spill the beans when confronted with evidence. I'm encouraged by this because you know Paulus has talked with K2's attorneys and knows what some of the evidence is.

He best wear his rubbber soled shoes. He could slip in the pools of sweat.

Klaas:

I believe that video from Curacao  was taken by the Vigilante Newspaper. They were the same newspaper that said that Steve Croes was the one who broke into the fisherman huts and stole the supplies.

Could be all Curaco.  I only saw Joran smiling once in the video.  He certainly doesn't look jovial in the last photo.
