Does anyone know for sure yet if Beth is on the island or not?   I don't think she would rush to Aruba just because there has been re-arrests; what good would that do her?  IF she does go to Aruba I think it would be because Dave is almost certain they will find Natalee and Beth would want to be there to bring her daughter home.  What say you?

Well, I don't know how I would feel if I were Beth right now.  But as an outsider I don't see a reason for her to go there right now.  JQK is in contact with the prosecutor and it just seems like she would be subjecting herself to all the same nonsense that she went through before.  Why do that if you have someone with the legal experience of JQK doing your talking for you.

Of course, it isn't my child that has been made to disappear, so I probabaly don't know what I'm talking about.

We all feel the same thing about Beth: total empathy and real affection. Having said that, I believe that Beth would serve as a distraction right now to what's going on in the case. She has become, unfairly, a lightning rod for anger to the economic sufferings of the island. By not doing interviews and being in front of the camera, it helps keep the focus on the suspects who are the REAL reasons for Aruba's troubles.

Part of taking a  "fresh look" at the case would be to use common sense and logic.

I hope she is not going...at least not right now...I think her presence will take away from what's happening right now....I can imagine her wanting to be there ....especially after the ship arrives and starts searching....

To All - I really learned a huge lesson over the last 2 and a half years, and YES, even an old boy like me still learns every day!!! I think I knew the lesson, but not the actual term for it.

It is the Lack Of Empathy that is the real Evil in this world and what we all try so hard to combat on this site and the sites that have sprung up from it.

Well, I am so dumb...it just occurred to me why I am distrusting of this new info.  The only thing I keep hearing is the defense side of this issue...they are not guilty, it's not new evidence, the are not being treated fair....etc.  The real truth is locked up with the prosecution and they are not leaking anything...zero...zip....nada. I will feel this way until the prosecution plays their hand...what was I thinking?  Whew!  I feel a little better now.  I hate it when I am the last person to get these new revelations.

Considering that the following night, when Beth and Jug showed up, Deepak and Joran were still going strong in the wee hours of the morning: out at the casinos, these boys are a remarkable testiment to fun through exhaustion. AND they went to work and school the next day, too!

I think the witness has always been there.  Arubagirl told us about a witness....a friend of her Mom's, I think.  The information was clear.  This person saw the car being washed in the middle of the night.

Especially when it was the very back of the property which made it more suspicious.

I was thinking the same thing as this may be a slow process. Do the Investigators have anything to bargain with? Are they offering the Crowne Witness to anyone? Are they offering protection for anyone that may be reluctant to come forward?
