Good Morning Monkeys....

Annie...thank you for putting your thoughts out there...you are right...
there is much to be thankful for with the three in jail and with the
lawyers talking or sputtering on national TV....my only worry is that
there is much to do in a month...I am backing Mos...I think he can do it...!

Stom and Buckeye  Thanks for correcting me about Deepak's lawyer. When I was looking for that yesterday I was beginning to think he didn't have a name, just like the judge.

MuffyBee and Blah I recall Deepak's work permit being revoked at one time. They said they had too many in his field. Seems they have more than enough lawyers in Aruba as well. Then again if you look at msmaples 'murder and mayhem' thread, they will never have enough.

What good does it do to send Greta to Aruba if all that she can do is knock on doors that people refuse to answer?

The people down there don't want the case solved, they want it to GO AWAY. They think the publicity hurts their pocketbooks and no one EVER is in favor of something that does that. Plus, when the crime is proven, it will make the entire island to appear guilty by extension, and the people there sense that. That is what motivates the likes of charlierat, he thinks the place is Paradise and he wants a crime NOT to have been committed there so bad...

IF those people would face reality (ha!) and actually SOLVE the case and apply JUSTICE, they might come out better in the long run. But they can't see that far. They are too used to sweeping "problems" under the rug as the most efficient way of disposing of them.

They could always protest against the way their government handled the case instead of protesting the victim's mother. That should tell you where their heads are at. They're right there digging themselves into a deeper hole with their fearless leaders.

Oh, they cannot protest their government, might take away their freebies, thereby decreasing their chances to become pawns of Hugo.  Remember that you cannot protest your government in a socialist-near-communist country without serious repercussions.  Remember what happened in Cuba, Russia and now what is going on in France.  Once the lowest common denominator has taken over a country, it is hard for it to become neutral again.  Sarkozy is having a difficult time enforcing law and order, because France had dipped near Cuban levels through the years of "control" by Chirac.

While I tend to stay away from watching the "spin" interviews regarding crime I can understand why others get very upset about it.  I certainly will be much happier if this crime were finally be brought to trial.  Here is why.

Convictions rates are very high, especially in the case of capital crimes.  True our media does have a habit of sensationalizing some of the high profile crimes.  Money does seem to provide an extra defense advantage for some of those charged with crimes.  Once a trial is set here in the USA the conviction rate is still about 75% despite all the high profile cases.  The rate has gone down because of plea bargains which are becoming numerous to save on resources.  In countries such as Japan and Russia where they do not seem to have plea bargains the conviction rate is 99%.  I have never found any statistics for the Netherlands nor Aruba.  What I have observed over the past two and a half years is that first Aruba seems to half a much higher than average "official" suicide rate.  They also tend to label crimes differently.  The case where the wife was convicted of chopping her husbands head off with a shovel was classified as extreme domestic abuse.  Yet she is in prison.  I see many crimes labeled as either extreme or heavy maltreatment.  I was surprise a bit by this case being labeled as voluntary manslaughter.  I had really never seen that term listed in Aruba before.

Despite all the spin, I really feel that the really turning point in this case is if they ever do actually bring this case to trial.  Until then I just view everything as rhetoric.  We are probably very close to seeing whether or not that rhetoric will now turn to action.  Everything is just spin by both sides.  I refuse to get upset by the defense over what they say, but on the other hand I do not get excited over what the prosecution is saying.  Both play the same game.  When the trial begins it will be a time to then analyze what is entered into the record.

I certainly do not think this crime should go unpunished.  However, I refuse to get into discussions and debates about all the "spin" on both sides in this case.  As for innocent until proven guilty, that is being tossed around without a realization as to what it really means.  At least in our society there is no such presumption under the Constitution of the US.  This is a legal term.  Any one who has committed a crime is guilty, period.  Under our judicial system there is a "presumption" of innocence once they are placed on trial.  Until then no such term exists.

hey none.....believe me...if i thought it would help...i would love to play kick ball with jerkapenis's face on the widescreen!!! Cool Laughing
dihannah....greta has left aruba? i thought she might stay around and see what happens at the hearing tomorrow?

Yes, she left early this morning.  She's trying to cover both Stacy Peterson and Aruba.  She flew straight to BB.  I think there is more breaking right now in BB, at least until tomorrow.  Besides she can't get anybody to talk to her in ARuba.   I'm sure they have SOMEBODY still there though.  If you read her blog, she gives updates constantly and shows behind the scenes before every show.  Some interesting pics. inside of Jossy's paper printing.

Either Greta has no moral compass and is only in this to play both ends against the middle or she and her staff are totally clueless because she stated on either BOR or H&C that she had people on the ground there for months who give her information.  So, she knows a lot more than she lets on or her people are BonDia employees.

Laughing Laughing
Check it out Monkeys. Tacky just said that there were recordings from bugs placed in the suspect's homes. Last night he SWORE that the ONLY recordings were those taken in the police van. ( and that was just one).

Heard that...hmmmm another meltdown...oh brother he needs to chill. LOLOLOLOL

In his best efforts to get a mistrial by throwing in the "bugs" or to free Joran by implying it was the homes of K2 that were bugged, thereby making them the main suspects.  Nothing ever slips from this lizard; he just makes it sound that way so the viewer/listener extracts from his words that his client is going to "get off" whether guilty or not.  Listen to the Refugees, where his trial ideas are floated like lead balloons.

Hello.... I just dropped in to say hi this evening... I have been working way to much the past couple days... So.. what hearing is tomorrow? Wink

Hearing tomorrow:

#1  Judge will see more evidence and will decide if K2 remain in jail for another 8 days
#2  Joran's attorney will ask that some of his restrictions be lifted.  Joran wants to read his bible I guess  Rolling Eyes

Edited to add what Stella said.  Also K2's are going to argue that K2 should be allowed to have the same attorney rather than separate ones.

i know a lot of jailbirds get religion when behind bars...but somehow i just don't buy it when in comes to partyboy!!

Joran and Val are big Paris Hilton fans, so if it worked for Paris' little crimes, then Taco thinks it might work for his big rock star, Joran.  This is purely a publicity stunt, nothing more.

After 2.5 years, we should become conscious of the fact that when Natalee disappeared, Satish and Deepak were not boys.  They were men, youngmen, but men.  Joran ceased to be a boy in the latter part of 2005, and socially, he lived the life of a man. So we should stop referring to them in benign terms, by thinking of them as boys, because they are not.

I wrote here recently how the media refers to K2 as boys and JVDS as either Joran vanderSloot or Mr. vanderSloot and wondered if "boys" was a reference in which prejudiced people called all men of dark skin "boys."

Good morning monkeys!

Great front page on Joe T.  We all know that Joe is a demonstrated liar/misinformed person.  It's well-documented, just like Julia "Glenda" Renfro and CR.  Once I have documentation, I don't listen.  At that point, when a person has a demonstrated lack of credibility, I just don't waste my energy.

However, I do think Joe T. should keep talking.  In a few days, when some of the new evidence starts coming out, he will be the laughing stock to the rest of world that he is to us now.

Didn't he say last week that he would be in Aruba this week?

Keep talking Joe.

Shame on You, Aruba!

But, Anna, what do you expect in a country whose young ones wear Che T-shirts and favor a Chavez government over an American government?  They are sliding into dictatorship faster than peanuts on a greased conveyor belt.

hmmm... the more i think about this

i wonder if joran paid the K2 to let him use the car and let them stay at home

joran was out and about driving with Natalee - just the two of them

i see the fat pig in a car...why wouldnt he drive with out a license

drinks underage
gambles underage

why not drive underage

i need to work on this, i think im on to something  Cool
I've thought about this a lot. I would not at all be surprised if "Deepak's" car is really "Joran's." Joran is underage and cannot legally have the car registered to him. Joran is a "player" (via Lorenzo).
..Remember when Charles Croes went to the beach the first night and asked the locals who owned a silver Honda??? They answered: "Oh, that's Joran's car."  Rolling Eyes

Are u suggesting the K2's were at home and had nothing to do with it other than loan the car?  I can't imagine them keeping quiet about just that, to save there  @sses.  They are staying quiet, because they had more involvement.  Unless I'm misunderstanding where you are going with this?
No, No, No! I think the events of that night happened just like what we all generally agree upon. I'm just saying that it is Joran that really "owns" that car. Deepak is just the "caretaker". Why else would a  "Playa" hang around a dork like Deepak.

That was my hypothesis from early on, that this car was purchased by Paulus and/or Anita to keep the Sporter happy or either the Sporter bought it with his hard-earned pimp money and since he is not eligible to drive, Deepak and Satish, of legal age to drive, where his "slaves," and that is where that came from, him telling Natalee the car was his and these slaves drove him around like the pimping master he perceived himself to be.

Not knowing who made the signs or who organized this demonstration, it would not take many guesses for me to come to a conclusion.  Anita is an art teacher, Julia Renfro has access to printing press, that old skank ex-pat W'spoon has been adamant about the bad publicity since his and his children's multiple businesses are suffering, Tito and his fat friends have access to government employees via the government-dictated press to make this happen.  So it's all the usual suspects who did this.  Never put anything past a Scubajap, Renfro who admittedly refers to herself as a witch to accomplish what they are paid to do by AHATA.
