Nonesuche,

I am recalling your posts and emails, now, which gave me a picture of you and your family, including Mr. None.  You painted this picture with love, and the vision of the goodness he had for you, your children and, yes, your pets.

I send my heartfelt sympathy to you and your family members and praying for you all to manage through this painful loss knowing he's at rest.

Others have shared verses and poems that are fitting and beautiful.  I am singing my old sig line with you, because I know you know....God Bless:

I've seen fire and I've seen rain.  I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end.  I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend, but I always thought I'd see you again.  James Taylor

From the movie Four Weddings and a Funeral.

Funeral Blues

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.

Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message He Is Dead,
Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.

He was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last for ever; I was wrong.

The stars are not wanted now: put out every one;
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood,
For nothing now can ever come to any good.

None,
Words can't express the sorrow... but like my small friend - now Mr. None is in heaven playing with Jesus.

He is at peace, now may God's peace extend to you and your family...

Mr. None and Mrs. None,

We had a cup of stars last night and now the night is a little brighter for those of us that need to see our path when we too will take our last big adventure.. I don't like to hear about endings. I won't say goodbye, not now. Your husband will be there, where we are going.  His strength sublime. His spirit will live on, his love will shine.  As you wrote that you wraped Mr. None in layers of your love, he will always be there always.  When my Father died last year I was at work.. The same time I found out that my Dad died a person at work just had a baby boy.. I wonder if that baby had my dad's blue eyes.. I know I will never look at The flower of the Fairies (Daisies) in the sameway, they will always bring back the emails that you would write telling me how much Mr. None liked my humor.. I bow my head, I smile.

Footprints

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was
walking along the beach with the LORD. Across
the sky flashed scenes of his life. For each scene,
he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one
belonging to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
be looked back at the footprints in the sand. He
noticed that many times along the path of his life
there was only one set of footprints. He also
noticed that it happened at the very lowest and
            saddest times of his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the
LORD about it. "LORD, you said that once I
decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the
way.   But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life, there is only one set
of footprints; I don't understand why when I
needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied, "My precious, precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you. During
your times of trial and suffering, when you see
only one set of footprints, it was then that I
            carried you."

None, my heart is very heavy with your loss.  Mr. None has found the sweetest relief from his earthly battle—a battle he fought so bravely, encouraged always by your love.  I like to think this is a map of the route he took to join his Heavenly Father.  In my mind’s eye, I know he bounded up the gentle stairway, healthy and vigorous again, his eyes bathed in flowers from your garden lining the path (and yes, daisies in abundance), a beautiful cookie lovingly made by your dear daughter in one pocket and a few years’ worth of season tickets to watch his favorite athlete, your son, play football in the other.  Above all, he carried so much love from all of you in his heart.  Godspeed Mr. None!

Praying now for God to bless you all with His comfort, peace and strength in the days ahead....

With love and hugs,
Barbara

May I express my deepest  sympathies to family and friends of Mr. None. I know it has been a long, hard road. A battle or sorts. I have been there and I do know what you are going through. Please accept my best wishes for you all to greive and yet beyond that to move on. It is a natural process we all go through within a lifetime. Bless you all.

None:

A million old soldiers will fade away
But a dream goes on forever
I'm left standing here, I've got nothing to say
All is silent within my dream

A thousand true loves will live and die
But a dream lives on forever
The days and the years will go streaking by
But the time has stopped in my dream

We all have our everyday hopes and fears
And you'll find no exception in me
But that doesn't get me through a sea of tears
Over life's biggest tragedy

You're so long ago and so far away
But my dream lives on forever
I guess I believe that I'll see you one day
For without it there is no dream

You're so far away and so long ago
But my dream goes on forever
And how much I loved you you'll never know
til you join me within my dream

--Todd Rundgren

Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you.  Hugs to you and the kids.

None....I have been here five hours, and the words do not come.  There is nothing that I can say other than I am profoundly sad for you ...and yet I know that he is still there watching you ...and he will continue to watch over you, as your angel, until you meet again.  Much love at this difficult time...Mere

None

I wish I had words that would bring you comfort.

I simply don't know what to say other than I am so very sorry for your loss.

Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I wish I could reach over and give you a hug.

Be strong and know that your dear husband is in a better place.

If you look into the sky tonight and you see the brightest star... that will be him looking down , watching over you.

You have your memories, hold them close and you will never be alone.

I am sorry

NONESUCHE asked if I would post this for her:

SM has been such a comfort for us, and that I could never imagine a more caring group of individuals or community, and that we are so thankful for each of them. Thank Red, Tom, and Mrs Red for me too, for without them I'd have never had such incredible people to support us with such compassion and care. It has so touched our family and our hearts, more than we could ever express.
