Klaasend,  same route to the back parking lot whether the building was there or not.  I believe I have photos of a fence just to the left as you face CnC.

2NJ -  The building was torn down this year.  It would have been up at the time AZSunny was there.

I don't know firsthand the name of the building that was next to CnC (other than the same type of business searches as Klaasend did), but Ritz is a local ice cream in the Carribean (Curacao, if I am not mistaken).

IMO, in this instance whether they said in back of the old Ritz or in back of CnC they would bot be referring to the same thing - one is just being more literal than the other..

Thanks, that's what I thought too.  That's why I didn't think it would help Shizaru like he hoped it would.

Yep, Klaasend.  I just took a look at that overhead photo that was posted - that shows the rubble that you would have to walk around.

Great job by Grande on the Character Witness information, and to Shizaru on the timeline.

Angelina's words:

"He was working that night. Sunday night," she says. "And he never goes out on a Sunday night. Deepak was supposed to go home. His brother has to pick him up at 11:00 ...   (SNIP)

.............

Deepak never goes out on a Sunday night?
He was supposed to go home?
His brother has to pick him up at 11:00?

Maybe it's a language thing, but, in my mind, this conjures up that rumor about a Kalpoe being in some kind of trouble. Was Deepak on some kind of probation? DUI perhaps, where maybe a girl was killed or injured? Was Deepak the one in trouble and not Satish?

Did someone "fix" all of that for him? Perhaps something like, "You say you were driving and we'll make make sure there is no record of your previous indiscretions"?

It may not be significant, but Angelilna's words jumped out at me.

Memphis, I just assumed (which may mean I overlooked  Wink )
that Satish had to pick Deepak up because he never liked to keep his car parked there when at work (which doesn't really make sense to me as the lots by the CyberZone seem a lot safer than the one in back of CnC)

I've broken Grande's assembly of Joran's character witness photos and broke the one large collage into 3 smaller collages so that it does not blow the margins.  I've posted in the Important Documents thread along with the Tickle site links.

Actually, we really don't know for sure who was driving when they arrived at  C&C.  We only know who was in the car.  Actually, we aren't even sure there was only one car, since Beth said her statement says Joran drove home. So there you go.   Back to square one...but it is significant as to who was where and who was driving. Maybe Joran was driving at some point and ran over Natalee.  Who really knows besides the entire island of Aruba and they aren't talking.

Good points, Lala's.

Speaking of back to square one, I seem to be always looking back to what was happening a year ago...

Aruba Police Search for Man Who Anonymously Gave Tip; A midnight jogger
August 19, 2005
According to the AP, the Aruban authorities are searching for a late night jogger who may have information into the case of Natalee Holloway’s disappearance.

Here we are a year later and I'm still wondering what that jogger saw ....

Ahhhh.....Success with avatars!   Laughing

Now only if there was some success in this case!  I so hope Easywriter's statement from Josey comes to fruition.  It gave me hope.

How is everyone tonight?  I hope well.

I learn much from you all....I actually opened a photobucket account....and gosh, everything worked.  I am so happy.

I see that most of the ususals were not in the eye of Magic's camera this weekend, but that the police had a singing fest   Wink

I would bet that jogger is either no longer on Aruba or very wealthy.
