My Lady Tigers are playing tonight for the SEC Tourney Championship!

Then it'll be on to the women's Big Dance.....

Sorry about Duke's loss to Maryland today nonesy.
Women's basketball has become really exciting! The Lady Vols are no longer the only team in town. Maryland has a really great team.

PDH I hope the Tiger ladies win it for you! I'm pulling for you !

The maryland teams, both men's and women's really came up from behind this season and it's a credit to them. It went to overtime today and both teams were very well matched, the terrapins just rang the hoops when they needed it most - duke did not. I was struck by how young both head coaches look, so looks like two young stars in the coaches too.

I'm watching the St. Mary's - Portland WCC semi-final game now. Winner will play Gonzaga tomorrow night for WCC championship.  I know it has little national significance but St. Mary's is a local favorite.  My high school freshman son went to a game a couple of weeks ago with his team and he had his photo taken with Patty Mills and got his autograph.  Mills is just returning tonight after being out with a broken hand for several weeks.

Can't wait for the NCAA tournament.  We love March madness in our house!

A's I think that's a wonderful story about your son and Patty Mills. Sports isn't always about the top team either, there are personal stories which can be great life lessons for our youth.

Current rankings, KTF please notice that the Huskies are #10 on the ESPN/USA Today poll, I bet that will make your day. UNC is on top but I think it's going to be a challenging march madness but their seniors seem pretty determined - we shall see. I spoke with a coach that worked with son privately when he played AAU, this coach was a player in the NBA and pretty celebrated and he said he thinks Clemson could be a force to reckon with? Not sure I feel they are as strong as they were mid-season but we shall see....

I missed it, I was frantically cleaning for son's girlfriend's arrival, didn't even have time to check the listings. Full workday today too but thanks for the heads up, I'll go watch the highlights on ESPN. I did note UNC won by the skin of their teeth today.

I saw Memphis play for a few minutes. I think I may go with them again. They lost some stars from last year, and they haven't missed a beat. That's a great program, and a very solid team. They make it look easy.

I think Memphis looks really good too PDH, UNC lost to FSU today so the upsets begin in earnest.

Should be a good tourney!

It'll be a great tournament! I just hope AU gets an invitation. Everyone agrees that we're much better than Penn State, but those stupid RPI numbers get in the way.

Thanks for posting that KTF! The pilot (Denver Mills) was a CPA that worked with my brother. I bought my first car from he and his wife. Very sad day in OSU history -- I too remember the wonderful gestures by so many of our rivals during those dark days after the crash.
