The Iranian Speed Boats

I saw the video and heard the verbal exchange between the US ship (in international waters) and the Iranians who said "we are coming to you ... blow you out of the water." All the news anchors and pundits are asking why we didn't respond in kind. Further, they ask "what does it take for the US to respond?"

Raising my hand, call on me please because I know the answer. This was a very small incident and the US ship did not attack because it could have blown up this small incident into a big confrontation with Iran. We cannot afford this as we are tied up in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I think the measured response was appropriate. Bush warned them not to do it again.
