Should children witness childbirth? Good question.

Here's your answer.

Due to a power outage, only one paramedic responded to the call.
The house was very dark so the paramedic asked Kathleen, a 3-yr old girl to
hold a flashlight high over her mommy so he could see while he helped
deliver the baby. Very diligently, Kathleen did as she was asked. Heidi
pushed and pushed and after a little while, Connor was born. The
paramedic
lifted him by his little feet and spanked him on his bottom. Connor began
to cry. The paramedic then thanked Kathleen for her help and asked the
wide-eyed 3-yr old what she thought about what she had just witnessed.

Kathleen quickly responded, "He shouldn't have crawled in there
in the first place......smack his butt again!"

If you don't laugh at this one, there's no hope for you.

That is precious...and yes, I did laugh and laugh.

NO, I'm not ok! I'm going through serious withdrawal from the monkeys and I miss you guys terribly!

My internet hasn't worked since the lights flickered in a storm, and I've walked through all kinds of scenarios on the phone with the cable company, and it hasn't done any good. They're sending someone out on Tuesday, so hopefully, it will be resolved then. I have posted once from work, but work's been wild and I haven't had time to catch up from there either.

I'm at a friend's house, but wanted to check in while I could. It IS nice to be missed, and please know it's MUTUAL!

See you guys soon!!! (with any luck!)

Good Morning Everybody!!  What a wonderful weekend!!!  Thanks to the St. Louis Monkeys who stood up for Natalee.  She would be so proud of all of you.  I know I am.

Today I am absolutely exhausted!!  But what a wonderful experience.  A day that I have dreamed of since the first time I held my precious daughter in my arms.  And it was perfect.  I don't think it could have been any more perfect.  And the reception too.  And I held it together pretty good.  Didn't come unglued or anything.   Well I did lose it a little when daddy danced with Kristen.  lol  They played the song "I held her first".

Well the kids are getting ready to leave on their honeymoon.  They are so happy, and I'm excited for them.

I guess now I get to clean house.  whoopee!!

I wish Beth and Dave would have been able to experience this with Natalee.  I did think about them throughout all of this.  God Bless them.  A mother/father should never be robbed of this special day.

Oh, Snoopy, I'm so happy the wedding was all you imagined....you gave me a lump in my throat with your thoughts of Beth & Dave, and it's something to keep thinking of, because they truly were robbed of so many precious moments.

I hope the newlyweds enjoy their honeymoon and have a lifetime of great things.

The Wedding was BEAUTIFUL and the BRIDE was stunning,,,,,when the doors opened  and K and her dad walked through there was the sound of breath being taken in...total class and elegance...what a beautiful couple they make!

The Mother of the BRIDE was glowing...there was a aura around her that absolutely glowed!!!  the Father of the Bride was soooooooo handsome. When K and her father danced to..I Saw Loved First...for those of you who haven't heard the song..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2iO1qLLmBtI....but grab a Kleenex first....I nearly lost it!! I was ready to do the UGLY cry right there in front of everyone...but managed to blink and choke back the tears and saved my mascara! Both the Bride and her father shed tears, as did many, watching this very personal exchange.....of deep love between a father and daughter.

The reception was a blast and I do not remember ever seeing so many gifts piled upon and in front of the gift tables. K's best friend and Matron of Honor's toast was absolutely beautiful....tearful and filled with love.

A gold bracelet circa 1920's that was intertwined in the Bridal Bouquet belonged to K's great Grandmother....and all the girls in the family have worn it on their wedding day....

K wore the engagement ring of the groom's great Grandmother circa 1922.....and the groom's mother wore it on her wedding day....

I was honored to attend this event.....Thank you for allowing me to share this day with you and your family and friends..
