Dear Tech support,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a
distinct slow down in overall system performance, particularly in the
flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under
Boyfriend 5.0.

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs,  such
as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5 and then installed undesirable
programs such as NBA 5.0, NFL 3.0 and Golf Clubs  4.1.

Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes
the system. I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to
no avail.

What can I  do?

Signed,

Desperate.
******************************************************************

DEAR  DESPERATE,

First keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while
Husband 1.0 is an Operating System.

Please enter command: ithoughtyoulovedme.html and try to download Tears
6.2 and don't forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update. If that
application works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run
the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.

But remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to
default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or  Beer 6.1. Please note
that Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will download the Snoring
Loudly Beta.

Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-In-Law 1.0 (it runs a virus in
the background that will eventually seize control of all your system
resources.)

Also, do not attempt to reinstall Boyfriend 5.0 program. These are
unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited
memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You  might consider
buying additional software to improve memory and performance.  We
recommend Cooking 3.0 and Hot Lingerie 7.7.

Good  luck,

Tech Support

too funny... Klaas can you email that to me? pls and thanks...

Thanks for the update & pictures, Klaas.  I'm jealous...our house needs some work & the funds to do it....but I'm not jealous of all you've been through while the work is being done OR the black mold.  You've probably done it already, but I'd try to get hubby to clean out the fireplace...

Nope, I did the fireplace right after posting the update.  I put on my N95 mask and cleaned it out.  I just didn't want the tile/fireplace guy to start working on it with all that soot still there.

What really got to me yesterday was cleaning the walls with TSP.  I've learned my lesson with that stuff because I was feeling like I was getting sick last night after using it.  So no more TSP cleaning for me, LOL

Take care, Klaas...

Bear spotted at Hard Rock Hotel pool near Universal Studios
Walter Pacheco

Sentinel Staff Writer

9:14 AM EDT, May 28, 2008

Orlando police are at Universal Studios this morning after reports of a black bear taking a dip in the pool of the Hard Rock Hotel.

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officials are at the popular tourist spot to check out the reports.

Although the bear has not been found, Tom Schroder of Universal Studios said it is business as usual at the hotel and theme parks.

"We got the OK from the Fish and Wildlife officials to go about with our regular operations," Schroder said.

Police were first told of the bear sighting at 4:13 a.m., after a security guard spotted the bear on a security screen. Reports show that the bear finished its morning dip and left the pool area. The Hard Rock Hotel is located at 5601 Universal Blvd.

Check back for details.

Klaas,

You are almost there with the construction work.
Hopefully you will look back on this and say it was all worth it.
I just finished my greatroom/dining room, kitchen and spare bedroom.  All walls painted, all trim work painted, all ceilings painted, all new living room furniture, closets all cleaned out.  Now I have to help hubby in the garage.  I don't know why, he barely helped me do anything.
Hope you are not overdoing it.

Iowa man says he planned to compost pot, not smoke

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Police in Iowa say a man caught with a large quantity of marijuana claimed all he had in mind was recycling.

A complaint by the Johnson County Sheriff's Office says the 30-year-old man told police in Iowa City that he planned to turn several large bags of marijuana into compost.

Officers report the bags he had when he was arrested early Saturday held a "gallon" or more of marijuana each.

The complaint says officers didn't buy the compost story. The suspect remained in jail Sunday without posting $14,000 bail on a charge of possessing marijuana with intent to distribute.

The poor guy must be misinformed.  All he'll get with marijuana is weed (sorry, couldn't resist).

Jerry

I have been wondering about you.  How's it going?  Before I go shopping for a new model, I would take a break and spoil yourself silly.  When you are not looking and you are having a good time, that's when you will meet someone.  Pinky swear!  (But just because you are on a diet, doesn't mean you can't look at the menu).

Revered Monkey God Named Chairman of India Business School
Saturday , June 07, 2008

LUCKNOW, India  —

He's a revered Hindu monkey god. And now, he's the chairman of an Indian business school.

Hanuman, the popular god known for his strength and valor, has been named official chairman of the recently opened Sardar Bhagat Singh College of Technology and Management in northern India, a school official said Saturday.

The position comes with an incense-filled office, a desk and a laptop computer. Four chairs will be placed facing the empty seat reserved for the chairman and all visitors must enter the office barefoot, said Vivek Kangdi, the school's vice chairman.

"It is our belief that any job that has the blessings of Lord Hanuman is bound to be a success," said Kangdi.

All Hindus know that Hanuman can lift mountains and leap oceans, but ancient texts make no mention of his business acumen.

"When we were looking for a chairman for our institution, we scanned many big names in the field of technology and management. Ultimately, we settled for Lord Hanuman, as none was bigger than him," Kangdi said.

Hanuman is one of the most popular gods in the crowded pantheon of Hindu deities. His most famous feat, as described in the Hindu epic the Ramayana, was leading a monkey army to fight the demon King Ravana and rescue a kidnapped princess.

The Sardar Bhagat Singh College in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, India's most populous state, awards bachelor's degrees in engineering and management. The school opened last year.
