If you take it literally then we are still at that stalemate...since previously Babalu had said that Dirty Hand was the chief of polis and Shango said Babalu had opened a window with that comment.  So at one time Dirty Hand was possibly van der Straaten or Rudy Croes or Ronny Bernadina and then Shango agrees with Drax about Paulus being Dirty Hand.  Now you know why I am always rolling my eyes...it's because my brain is spinning around inside my skull most days.

Everything kept changing and they weren't really telling us anything we didn't already know or wouldn't find out soon enough.

It is just possible it's an elaborate hoax just to mislead???   

But even if that were to be true, I would still like to know what was supposedly the message and who was behind it.  Guess I just don't like Joran being called a lamb, scapegoat, etc.   

Can think of a few other things to call him, however~!

who Shango was and had spoken with him.
I believe if anything was to be learned from these riddles,

I don't recall this being said, but my memory "ain't what it used to be". Does anyone else recall that this is true about Dave having allegedly spoken with Shango? I do recall Daves visit to the "Lions Den" which he writes about in his book........

That's a good idea...let's just not talk Shango any more....yeah right.  Shango should be easy to decode but it isn't...it's an elaborate ruse to confuse everyone into thinking that he knew what happened to Natalee...he knew the routine only and that routine may or may not have been connected to Natalee...even though it's fun to think about...it does not get us any closer to making the guilty pay for this crime...then again I don't think at this point there is anything that will do that...but if Dirty Hand comes clean and actually tells all he/she knows and Joran, Deepak and Satish are found guilty then all my time will be well worth it in the end. Shango is a coward if he knew what happened to Natalee and how this whole rave, lions, elders, dirty hand thing went down.  He's a coward, because I have called him out many, many times to just tell us what he meant.  If he cared at all he would have already told this story to people that matter...I don't think he has. The FBI would most certainly know the answers by now...maybe they do...why haven't they said anything at all about anything at all???  That is a big question there.

Simian, on the other hand, may have known much more than we think and could say little about it all.  I suspect that if Simian is a legit person with information, he/she should be pressuring that 5th suspect and trying to break that alibi that would solve this case and bring Natalee home....same with Merian Ernest and Shockthemonkey and Grey Whisper.  I suspect Simian may be as much a coward as Shango...I more than anyone here kept calling for these two to go to the FP and tell us the truth and help this family.  The early posters were as skeptical as all of us are...yes I am skeptical that they are anybody that knows anything at all.  Still as long as the perps go free we will continue to talk about Shango and Simian.  Not even a poster that supposedly has all the answers will deter me from making sure that all options are explored in trying to get this family justice.

Lala, I don't take offense.   One opinion is as good as another.
I have devoted a lot of time to the Shango/Simian posts myself.  I think there
may be a few clues in there somewhere.  Picking out the fact from the fiction
is the problem.

Whom ever wrote the riddles is certainly an excellent creative writer, and is very knowledgeable as to the social fabric and customs of Aruba. But they took a risk of being discovered every time they posted, so if they know what happened, were afraid to tell, but wanted to help us figure it out, it would have been safer to simply spit it out. Speaking in riddles only endangered their lives more so than simply telling us what happened. So barring some sort of dementia combined with an overwhelming urge to do right, they were designed to officially help accomplish the coverup, in my opinion.

They are also indicative of the character of the island people as riddles is the help one can expect during a life or death crisis befalls a tourist in Aruba.

Much like the slogan the tourism authority adopted in 2006 expressed their concern for missing children in Aruba, "The Only Thing Missing In Aruba Is You." As far as Aruba is concerned, nothing significant is missing in Aruba.

But don't get me wrong, I cannot resist trying to solve the riddles either:)
