First of all, thank you to everyone for
the wonderful help and support Vicki has received so far.


New York event is looking up in terms of volunteers! Hurray!
But more help is needed to make it happen.
There are signs to hold and totes, pens, brochures to give out--so more people, more "hands" are needed. 

If you want to go, but need a ride or help with gas money, just ask Vicki.
Sometimes she can help with that.

Vicki has been working nonstop on making these events happen.
Her work is particularly hectic this year because the Boston and NY events are back to back.

However, Vicki brings it all together joyfully for Natalee. She is tireless in her efforts.

So, please make her efforts all that easier by showing up.

If you just want to hold a sign, that's fine. If you just want to hand out pens, also OK.
You can participate as much as you want. You will be surprised, though, because
people will come up to you and want to talk about the case. That is your chance to shine; to be an advocate for Natalee and justice.

a sweatshirt for any supporter who attends. It is her gift to you and for
Natalee.

Jug: Will have to find out from Paul Lilly who we have tried to get in touch with but can't

No one says much at all on the four-hour flight . Continuing to make calls for information as long as I ca get cell service in the air. I talk again to the coach. He says he may have found a U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agent who can help us, but is having trouble connecting with the police on the island. He's having a hard time getting past the beach patrol and getting to to the "right authorities." Then we lose contact.

All of us are dumbfounded by this blasé attitude. No one would direct the coach to island police authorities or give him any helpful information. So he kept vigil in the lobby. He was at a complete loss until the U.S. DEA agent surfaced on the island.

Klaas ... I agree.

I may be in the minority but I speculate that Julia Renfro was a advocate for Jug and Beth in their desperation for a period of time following their arrival on the Island.  However ... loyalties changed ... she was singled out by the "powers that be" to lead the misinformation campaign.

I went to Aruba 3 times, every time by private jet and did go thru the area he mentions. Claudio was in charge of that area as I remember and Alberto worked for Claudio.

All three, Gabriel (his girlfriend too), Alberto, a girl I called Ava (she looked like Ava Gardner) and Claudio traveled with us as ALE sent us on one wild goose chase after another.I met Van Der Stratten on the Wed. after Natalee went missing.

It was very clear to us that the cover-up was in full swing. Claudio, Alberto, and Gabriel all tried to help us and in the beginning Julia Renfro was with us.

After Wed. or Thurs. someone in the governnment or tourism or law enforcement, or more probably all of the above started talked to the people who were trying to help us get some answers. I do remember them talking to some of these people and telling them to watch what they were saying and doing. It appeared they put pretty on anyone they could.

Charles Croes and Julia turned on us fairly quickly, but they did have leverage on them. Claudio, Alberto, and Gabriel were still with us when I left the third time I was there. It was fairly open, Aruba’s powers that be did not want us in their country any longer.

Klaas...In Joran's book there is mention of David F and another mention of a woman that could be his Mom. My question is...which David to you think Joran is referring to as getting mad about the girls and that was at the Racquet Club on Monday....David Wever or David F?

Update: Tues 29-Jan 1610 hrs

The Persistence left the dock at 0645 hrs this morning returning to survey what has been the roughest portion of the search area. The seas here are reliably 8-12 ft due to convergent water masses, strong stratified shearing currents, and opposing trade winds. Local fishermen have a name for it which roughly translates to "don't go there". For the last couple days we have been working in the heart of "don't go there" in atypically calm 2-3 ft swells. We have never seen it this calm out here. The timing couldn't be better. More later

Sunny, I don't know for sure and as some here like to constantly remind me, I wasn't there but can tell you what we were told very early on.

Supposedly this Eric Williams overheard Paul Lily talking in either the hallway or lobby at HI and came up and ID'ed himself and asked if he could help in any way with this problem.

Then later we were told Wms was told to get in touch so guess no one really knows.

Also the tip has been given to look for him in Curacao where he may now live but I have to wonder if anyone has checked with him in Aruba and just asked him these things.

Again, wasn't there but we were told it was vd Stratten who told Beth she couldn't put up posters saying "Kidnapped" because there was no proof that anyone had in fact been kidnapped at that point.  Guess he was more concerned with scaring the tourists than finding the missing.

I am sure someone like Janet or Pita will post links to where Beth said this several times. 

So basically, it was vd Stratten who nixed that first poster.  Some were writing "Ask Joran vd Sloot" across the bottom and posting at or near his school also.  Friends of Jug writing that across bottom may have been what first caught their attention because you know Anita couldn't have such a thing happening where she worked and Sporter attended school.

Even in the background of the psycho psychics, you can hear someone asking them if Julia made the Hootie poster.  They answer that Beth did and claim it as some sort of proof of something or other.

It should be simple enough to trace the cell phone numbers on it and see if they are in fact numbers or FORMER numbers that belonged to Julia and her friend.

Now they are claiming this is not true yet they did not protest when Vanity Fair first published that article saying this was who the cell numbers belonged to.

Why did they let that article go to press with such incorrect information?  One time they cite it as proof of something then the next say the information in it is not reliable.

You can see from the next set of posters that the number in the Hootie poster is obviously not Beth's number on the island.  How could Beth have known any local numbers to use in printing up posters before she left, anyway?

So whose number is that on the Hootie poster if not Julia's as stated in the VF article and why didn't she protest that long ago if inaccurate?

This is not the poster printed before she left for Aruba. The poster printed before she left said "Kidnapped" but Jan v/d Stratten would not allow her to put those up, because no ransom demand was made. This is the first poster that went up, but it was printed in Aruba by Pro Graphics that Tuesday.

Just setting things straight. What she arrived with in Aruba said "Kidnapped"

Hi Anna....We have heard several different renditions of the who, how and why's....
 I do try to remember that there were many people both  in aruba and in the states trying to help in anyway they could....our own PI calling the FBI office, as a good example....I am confident that much of what was done was not even mentioned to Beth, Jug, and Dave ...it was just done.....my Why's are usually just in my head and I probably shouldn't put them in print
