So I think it could well be possible that they're not stuck so deep in this as we all thought.

One sentence in Jorans confession jumped out for me! In fact at first it seemes a quite nondescript sentence but...
At a certain point he says something like: 'A person who just murdered someone doesn't do something like that.' And at that point you can see him think of himself: 'Mmmm, should I have said it like that.'

That one sentence convinces me he had a hand in her death; maybe they werent just 'petting' etc, but maybe he was raping and using violence against her!

I've been reading the forum for years. When I got the word about the video, I knew where to go for the news.  If Joran contributed in any way to Natalee's death (for instance a date rape drug on top of alcohol) and showed reckless disregard, even under Dutch law, doesn't that point to manslaughter?  Could the Kalpoe brothers have witnessed him giving her a drug? Under Dutch law can the Kalpoes receive immunity for their testimony? Also, in the video Joran wasn't particualry kind to the Aruban authorities; would that anger them enough to take another look at things?

It is a bittersweet revelation for Beth, Dave and the rest of the family. They are in my thoughts and prayers.

The Kalpoes have always said that Freddy should tell the truth.  If they have any idea what truth Freddy knows they should tell Mos now.  Joran made them look like fools.

There is no Daury!  Paulus is the only one who would have cared enough to help out Joran and tell him to go home and go to sleep and go to school tomorrow.  NO ONE ELSE would have cared whether or not Joran ever went to bed or to school.  IMO

I do believe Joran knows Natalee is dead (I'm sorry that eliminates the 1% of hope that Beth had of Natalee being alive).

BUT.....Joran has ALWAYS been very very protective of his father.  Paulus is the ONLY person that a don't give a sh*t personality like Joran's, would ever protect...that Joran would NEVER disclose his name...that Joran completely trusted.

Even the Kalpoes are not stupid enough to take all the heat they've taken if they really aren't involved (Joran totally exonerated them except for letting them off at the beach; i.e., driving Natalee in the car).

Remember.....if they find her, they will see that sh*t....your own father!

I see what you mean.  Hopefully, Joran will get his little azz kicked!  What I really meant, that I don't think that a person named Daury was the one who told Joran to go home and get sleep and go to school.  I believe that was Paulus.  Joran may have used another person's name, just to muddle up things.  I think Paulus is THE major person in the cover-up.

Totally agreed. But I think it will take a lot of convincing to some. Good for them. But I am still appalled over their actions towards Natalee and her family after they were pretty damn sure Joran was responsible. They will never be free of this, and its due their own stupidity.
