He pulled the name Duary out of his butt... the very telling thing that jvds said among the other things was that " my parents didn't help me".... that came out of no where without any reason.... sublimal slip - you know sort of like "my friend's dream" or "my friend's symptons".... ya know.. Red and I dropped our mouths open and just kind of flipped .... so it is true...

Duary... = PVDS... no doubt in my mind now... 

I hope Paulus sleeps with one eye open.

I don't think Paulus has had a decent night sleep since the kid was born.

Jeannie Pirro said this is not murder.  Jeannie is saying that they have witnesses who said Natalee had drugs on her.

Stupid Jeannie: The "witnesses" who say this are part of the misinformation campaign. Did any of the MB kids or chaperones state Nat had drugs? Not that I know!

Also, it is murder if you dump someone in the sea who may still be alive.

It was 2/3 of the way through the video..He said it quick and they moved on..Joran I think said it would take years..But I remember him saying his dad had big plans to sue the govt for a fat payoff..I think Joran said Fat twice.. PVDS could be having financial problems..We saw that one person refused to take him as a lawyer..

He can kiss that fat payoff good-bye. I fully expect the Van der Sloots to declare bankruptcy within the next year. I doubt the Aruba mafia wants to throw money at a loud mouth shithead any more.

They've probably already packed and left the island!  No longer safe.  Sadly, they have 2 other sons suffering from there dumbass parents and brother!  Hopefully this will be a lesson to them to turn out ok!  I pray!

Joran got his payoff tonight!

Yes,you werent dreaming We were told he had a big bruise on his face and slept in class..Students threw paper at him while he slept.

I got a call from Beth today thanking me and all of Scared Monkeys for our unending support from the beginning of this case. Thru think and thin we were there as a shoulder to lean on.

I thought to myself, I appreciated Beth's comments, however, felt awkward as I couldn't imagine taking any other position or fighting for someone more than Beth, Dave and Natalee's family.

The injustice needed justice and needed to never be forgotten. This case has provided many other cases to get media attention as well. From the outset of this case all of us here called the very scenarios that Joran had admitted to. I have had inside info into the Aruba ways and life styles because of past experiences. I have met over the years people like Rudy Croes and Oduber. Of course at this point they probably rue that day ever occurred. However, I am glad to have drawn from those experiences to be able to help Beth.

Beth, you know that we have always had your back. Scared Monkeys was the bullet proof vest for Natalee's family. We took on that role and never needed anyone to tell us what was appropriate to do. Common decent people don't need advice, we just did it.

So many of you refused to let the story go and although the media will never admit it ... Beth certainly will. We were the mongoose that would not let go. Thank you all for your hard work, determination, perseverance and prayers.

I thank all of you Monkeys and many old monkeys that have returned and well as some of our very new ones.

I have come to know Beth over these past couple of years not by reporting and discussing a story, but by just talking to Beth as a voice of reason, a confident and a some one who just tried to make her laugh during some amazingly difficult times.

Beth's pain has been out pain and its nice to know that she knows where she can draw strength for when times are difficult. I am honored and proud to be able to call Beth my friend.

God bless you Beth and may this be the beginning of you finally getting answers and peace.

What a beautiful post. I am a "new" Monkey, but a visitor since the beginning. I have always known that I could come here for information. The "Monkeys" have been constant in their search for the truth and with their hope and heart for the Holloway family. God bless.

Patrick made an excellent analogy (not sure if that is the proper word) when he said Joran is a different species.  That is what I said in the beginning. . .He has Narcissistic Personality Disorder and doesn't act/react like a compassionate human.

On June 10th, they announced someone had confessed that something bad happened, and was leading them to where they buried her.  (So possibly they did cover her with sand briefly.)  Then they immediately retracted that announcement and denied it happened. 

But it did happen.  Joran must have confessed something akin to the story we just heard about her passing out, convulsing, and then dying.  But of course he can maintain he didn't hurt her because, after all, in his mind he wasn't the one who put the drug in her 75% alcohol.  So they started asking if she'd had seizures.  But they knew some version of what had happened.  They just elected to cover it up and not prosecute him for any of it.

This story Joran is telling now. . .a good bit of it is true. . .I believe the parts about Natalee going into a jerking episode/coma.  But if you analyze what he is saying, he has  now drafted it in a way to make himself not guilty of anything (in his screwed up mind, anyway).  That is why he says he left her and somebody else disposed of her.  His story is a way to brag that he did these things, and that she wanted him, but still to maintain his innocence.  He just got wrapped up in the story and added a bit more truth than he intended.

There is a lot more to the story, no doubt.  And the friend is probably his father.

Joran van der Sloot has now been formally named a suspect in the murder of Natalee Holloway. His statement to the effect that he did not know whether or not she was alive when her body was dumped means the prosecution can and will demand more severe punishments.

Gerard Spong, a prominent Dutch attorney, stated earlier today that there is a very real chance that van der Sloot may win the criminal case, but will be unable to win a civil suit brought by the surviving family members. Since there is an extradition treaty between the Netherlands and the United States, possible damages may be "..far more than he will ever be able to repay. The American system for awarding damages can have devastating results."

obviously I'm biased but for me, john kelly and Greta pointing out that the police knew she had a seizure when Beth arrived on the island, they were asked about this many times.

The word corruption is finally being thrown around by the media.

My sideline friends and family who have general knowledge are in shock.

This is a good thing. We need to stay focused on PVDS.

People that I didn't think had any knowledge, have reacted with shock these past few days.  Crime happens everywhere.  What happened to Natalee is every parents nightmare.  What happened to her family leaves people speechless. 

To hear the words of Joran, I wonder if that left his parents and family speechless as well.

I believe Joran's words have helped create his living hell.  Has he reached the point of no return?  Is this the path he will tread the rest of his life? 

Is there no one left to speak the truth of what happened to Natalee Holloway?

Just when it seemed all hope was lost, this guy Patrick comes out from nowhere and blows this thing wide open and brings Beth her answers.

They say God works in strange ways.  I have never been a very religious person and never really gave it much thought.

But THAT must be a miracle.  That is really something to think about.  Might have to reconsider some of my views.

He answers prayers in the strangest ways, never the way we "direct" Him to answer, just purely out of left field in his infinite wisdom.

I agree.  It's almost always in a way we never even considered.

Has anyone heard any responses out of Aruba as I understand they were also seeing deVries from the first time tonight.  I would imagine many are going to be shocked.  But we know the spin can now begin.  Only this time it is different as we are far from the only ones who know it's spin

I wonder what the viewership of this program was tonight but with all the promos I would not be surprised if it far surpassed the Oprah program with Beth.
