Joran on the Run!!!!

http://www.dumpert.nl/mediabase/40942/60becc37/joran_op_de_vlucht.html

I saw some clips of the  ABC-show from yesterday on youtube. I had the impression that it wasn't as good as the dutch show: subtitles that covered a big part of the screen, a lot of voice-over that pushed away Joran's voice?
What did you think? Was the US show as impressive as the Dutch show you saw sunday or...?

Steve Croes

I don't think he was trying to alibi Deepak et al.  I think he told the drop off story to get people away from a boat friend.  If he was the boatman he would have stayed quiet.  He knows who it is.

GVC

When Kawish/Joran was posting, they tried a little too hard to implicate GVC and place doubt that Joran was the last with her.  I don't buy GVC because of that.

From reading around, the emotional intonations were lost on translation.  There was a lot of cut and paste.  People that saw both and understand Dutch, think the tone was lost.  The ABC program inserted a lot of background material and was probably a good thing for those that haven't followed the case that closely. I don't think as much as the actual film was shown.  The real time translations were much more detailed.

Morning Buckeye,

What we heard of the people in the US as well was that they apparently weren't as interested as the Dutch were in the show. They were all with their thoughts at SuperTuesday? That's a petty.
Hopefully in the coming days Americans will catch up on youtube.

I think the US show left stuff out and it would have been much better if they were actually speaking english rather than having subtitles.

But the net effect is the same - his goose is cooked and the cover up is exposed!!!

This entire country will now know it!!

Quote from Klaasand:
Monday, 4 February 2008
Natalee Holloway Update 37: Joran's lawyer offers a talk between him and the prosecutors, Makes weak excuses, Joran is addicted to gambling, in debt

Joran's Dutch Lawyer is making excuses for Joran now. He's apparently a pathological liar and needed money for his gambling addiction, and this is why he told the 'lies' about Natalee's disappearance. De Vries has 'twisted' the evidence in his advantage.

Is Joran's lawyer an idiot?  In order to gain his confidence, Patrick repeatedly told Joran he wasn't interested in hearing anything about the case. Yes, Joran, wanted to make a fast buck peddling dope and Patrick made it seem like he was more than willing to go in to business with Joran and never ever said anything about going into business in exchange for info.  Joran wanted to tell him all about it so he would think Joran was a big man around town.

Well, I really screwed up that post.  I didn't mean "Duary", I meant the undercover guy.  Klaas, could you fix it for me?

Of course, Joran is doped up enough to not know what he is saying...but yet sober enough to play the player by telling him exactly what he wants to hear..

Sometimes I wonder if inserting Steve Croes was another one of Jorans attempts to frame Deepak?
