Have we confirmed whether or not Joran met with police yesterday?  If so, Dutch or Aruban?

Seems we have conflicting info and I was just curious.  Would love it if the Dutch interrogators were able to break him down but with him being such a lying POS I am confident that if he speaks it will be still yet another tale.

We have to make sure the coverup is kept in forefront.

I got a video from Bamboo this morning and it is actually the most remarkable WTF video of all time involving in the Natalee Holloway case.

You have to see for yourselves just how screwed up the thinking on Aruba is.

The person on the video is not Bamboo. That person is DR T.

Julia Renfro is even mentioned. That will make her drab dreary day that much brighter.

Hey beans! I am not clear on if he met with them or not either.... but I am willing to bet the farm that if he did and made any statement at all it was that he lied (NO KIDDING) that he made the whole thing up and that is all he has to say.....

I keep trying to make his story fit with what we know and am stuck on "Natalee hit her head", the casino video, the Kalpoes cleaning their car among other things.... I don't think the something bad happened at the beach.....
As far as Natalees disposal I keep going back to the piece of material.....er fishnet (RIGHT) among other things....
I still think Paulus is the one who knows where Natalee ended up... JMO

Morning Mum - well when she comes back maybe she can call and ask him for a picture too. I don't think one exists. I thought I found one the other day and someone who has dealt with him does not believe the person in the photo is Sambo.

ORANJESTAD – The mother of Joran van der Sloot, Anita, wants to clear up the rumours that Joran has a half brother; he does not; this half brother does not exist.  She told the Amigoe this yesterday.   

Amigoe reported yesterday that the Dutch current affairs column and the local radio transmitter Cool FM assumed that a certain Lorenzo van R. was the person that helped murder-suspect Joran dispose of Natalee Holloway’s body with a boat.  Daury Rodriguez’s name was mentioned earlier as the ‘boatman’, but Rodriguez denied this.  Joran van der Sloot said in the talked-about footage of Peter R. de Vries that he was helped by ‘Daury’.

Also in the early stages of the investigation, family Van der Sloot has rebutted this rumour.  “Justice has investigated it at that time and could ascertain that nothing tallies.  But the media is digging into it again.  How are Joran’s brothers going to understand this now?  They asked me if what is in the Amigoe is true; that they have a half brother.  This is on top of everything that has already happened.”

Also Lorenzo’s family had already told a newspaper in the past that this story about half brother is not true.  The two families had contact with each other right after family Van der Sloot moved to Aruba in 1990.  “They had an auto-repair shop and we have taken our car to them a few times.  Lorenzo was five or six years old at that time and Joran two-and-a-half.”

The Netherlands as well as the United States are keeping a close track of all the latest developments in the Holloway-case.  The Netherlands that was the first to broadcast Peter R. de Vries’ footage last Sunday, noted a viewing record of seven million people.  ABC has broadcast the footage on Monday and at least 12 million Americans watched it, which is 11 percent of the TV-viewers at that moment.

De Vries has meanwhile left for the US to appear in several prominent talk shows.  Aruban televiewers could watch the footage on ABC via cable for the first time on Monday.  They have already seen and heard fragments via local radio- and TV-transmitters and on internet earlier. 

Patrick van der Eem, the man that encouraged a confession from Joran van der Sloot on a hidden camera, seems to become ‘the big hero’ in the Netherlands and in the US, confirmed the office of Peter R. de Vries.  The telephone hasn’t stopped ringing and several bouquets were delivered ‘out of appreciation’.

O/T...Dear Monkey Family...I'll be off line for a couple of weeks...I own a facility that I'm using to sponsor a retreat for batterred women and their children...that have left abusive relationships...I have a lot of work to do...and things to prepare in advace for the Kids...those are the ones I really worry about.  My facility is closed during the winter...so I'm in a great position to donate my lodging and restaurant, food, and services to this cause...plus I'm from a toxic FOO, so I know how much they need this...I just feel blessed that I can *pay it forward*...

Question. How did everybody get the spelling of Daury? Couldn't it be Dorry? Or Dowry? Or Dury? They were going by the name as Joran pronounced it. I don't think Patrick asked him to spell it. Just wondering.

Aruban authorities are reviewing the confession video and will make a decision next whether or not to arrest Joran van der Sloot. The Dutch legal system, of which Aruba is a part, is an inquisitorial legal system. This means that during the investigation a judge does not act as a referee as in adversarial systems such as the US’s. Judges in inquisitorial systems such as the Netherlands’ actually have an investigative task. They preside over the investigation, determine what investigative measures and steps can be taken and try to determine the facts in the case. The ‘Investigative Judge’ in the Natalee Holloway case is right now deciding if Joran is to be arrested again or not.

The Aruban prosecutors’ office petitioned the judge last week to arrest Joran van der Sloot. The judge however did not concur, mainly because Joran has already been arrested twice. Because of this he concluded that the confession and the manner in which it was prompted did not warrant an arrest.  The prosecutors is trying to make its’ case for third time’s the charm and is appealing the decision. They have until this afternoon to submit more information to the judge to strengthen their appeal. The judge has stated that a decision will not be made today but rather next week.

Has Mos, the lead prosecutor, is not helping with the appeal because he currently is in the Netherlands on vacation. Dutch police would like to interview Van der Sloot but have to wait for the judge’s decision before being able to do so.  More expected on Monday.
