No wonder Florida's child welfare system is so poor. No one even cared enough to check out this guy thoroughly. At least, I hope that's the case. If the decision to hire him came after his background was researched, that's so much worse, and just too disturbing to think about.
Meanwhile, children in Florida really have no protection once the family unit breaks down. The kinds of people who abuse children are apparently running the show.
What a disgrace.
